  • Patent number: 7990147
Abstract: In a contacting system and method for contacting magnetic resonance local coils with a unit for additional signal processing of a magnetic resonance data acquisition unit, a number of coil coupler elements are electrically connected with the magnetic resonance local coils and apparatus coupler elements are mounted at the magnetic resonance tomograph, and are electrically connected with a unit for signal processing. The coil coupler elements and the apparatus coupler elements are fashioned so that, given a movement of the local coils along a movement path in the magnetic resonance data acquisition unit, a successive contacting of at least a portion of the coil coupler elements with apparatus coupler elements ensues at least over a specific path segment of the movement.

  • Publication number: 20110040174
Abstract: An assembly for mounting and unmounting a surface coil of a magnetic resonance tomography apparatus includes an upper part, a lower part, a locking element to fix the upper part and the lower part to one another, and contact elements at the upper part and at the lower part. The contact elements at the upper part can be brought into an electrically conductive connection with contact elements at the lower part and the upper part and the lower part can be fixed to one another by a movement of the locking element.

  • Publication number: 20100271027
Abstract: A simple connection of a coil with a magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) is facilitated by a method and an adapter wherein a coil-connection element of at least one local coil is connected with an MRT-connection element of an MRT system. The adapter has a coil-connection element adapter designed to form a connection with at least one coil-connection element of at least one local coil. The adapter also has at least one MRT-connection element adapter designed to form a connection with an MRT-connection element of an MRT system. The adapter can be fixed mechanically to a fixing element of the MRT system.

  • Publication number: 20100156420
Abstract: A local coil arrangement for magnetic resonance applications has a mechanically dimensionally stable bearing element. A patient bed for a magnetic resonance system has a support surface to support a patient. In operation, the supporting element rests on the patient bed. In this state, it transfers the weight of the local coil arrangement to the patient bed. The local coil arrangement has at least one local coil to excite and/or to receive magnetic resonance signals. Furthermore, it has a multipole, prefabricated electrical interface via which the local coil can be electrically contacted. The electrical interface is arranged so as to be dimensionally stable at the bearing element. Positioning aids for the positioning of the local coil arrangement are arranged on the support surface. In the region of the positioning aids, a multipole, prefabricated electrical counter-interface is arranged so as to be mechanically dimensionally stable.
