The oral care implement may include a head extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end. A plurality of tooth cleaning elements extend from the head and are arranged in groups including a first group of tooth cleaning elements that terminate in distal ends that form a concave cleaning surface and a second group of tooth cleaning elements that terminate in distal ends that form a convex cleaning surface. Furthermore, there may also be a third group of tooth cleaning elements extending transversely across the head and dividing the first group of tooth cleaning elements into first and second subgroups of tooth cleaning elements. The third group of tooth cleaning elements may be inclined relative to a surface of the head from which they extend.

Abstract: A powered toothbrush includes a handle, a power source disposed in the handle, a head including a cavity disposed at a distal end of the handle, an electrically conducting element disposed in the cavity and electrically connected to the power source, and a movable cleaning element connected to the head and movable relative to the cavity. The movable cleaning element includes a tooth cleaning support member, a tooth cleaning element mounted on the support member, and a ferromagnetic member. Application of an electrical current to the electrically conducting element generates a magnetic field at the electrically conducting element. The magnetic field selectively at least one of attracts and repels the ferromagnetic member to move the movable cleaning element relative to the electrically conducting element.

Abstract: An oral implement and a method of forming an oral care implement. The oral care implement may include a head having a front surface and a plurality of tooth cleaning elements extending from the front surface. In one embodiment, the plurality of tooth cleaning elements may include three different types of tooth cleaning elements, each type of tooth cleaning element being formed of a different material. In one embodiment each of the materials has a different hardness and thus the oral care implement includes three different types of tooth cleaning elements each having a different hardness. In another embodiment, the oral care implement may include bristles and a molded cleaning element that may function as an interdental cleaner. Such a molded cleaning element may include a body and tines extending therefrom.

Fluid in the reservoir enters the tuft holes and is wicked out of the head of the toothbrushes by capillaries formed between the bristles.

In one embodiment, a reference plane that is non-parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handle contacts an outer surface of the handle without intersecting the flexible support element and without penetrating the outer surface of the handle. The oral care implement may be positioned within a product retaining cavity of a package with a portion of the oral care implement in contact with a support member of the package. In such embodiment, the oral care implement may be positioned such that the flexible support element is raised within the package so that it does not contact the support member.

Abstract: An oral care implement having electrodes thereon. In one aspect, the oral care implement may include a handle and a head, the head having an outer surface. A plurality of tooth cleaning elements extend from the head. At least one oral care agent dispenser is located on the head. A first electrode and a second electrode are located on the head and operably coupled to a power source to have opposite electrical charges. In some embodiments at least one of the first and second electrodes may be a sacrificial electrode. The oral care agent dispenser may be an outlet that is coupled to an oral care fluid in a reservoir and/or a solid release polymer that releases an oral care agent over time during use of the oral care implement.

A first electrode and a second electrode are located on the head and operably coupled to a power source to have opposite electrical charges. At least one of the first and second electrodes may be located on one of the upper and lower surfaces of the transverse through hole. In some embodiments, the first electrode is located on the upper surface of the transverse through hole and the second electrode is located on the lower surface of the transverse through hole.
