  • Patent number: 7229181
Abstract: An insulated drinking vessel includes an inner wall surrounding an interior for containing a liquid beverage and a transparent outer wall spaced from the inner wall to form an air space which acts to insulate the vessel interior in order to maintain the temperature of the liquid beverage contents within a desired range throughout a period of time which is normally required to consume the entire beverage contents. A removable top lid for covering the open top of the vessel includes an integrated sip spout extending upwardly from the lid. In one preferred embodiment, the drinking vessel and lid are in the form of a child's sip cup. The drinking vessel may further be provided with light-absorbing luminescent material to enhance the appearance and visibility of the drinking vessel as well as the level of the liquid contents when in a dark or dim light environment.

  • Patent number: 6921179
Abstract: A drinking vessel is provided with an insulated wall structure including an inner wall, an outer wall, and a void between the inner and outer walls providing an insulative barrier for maintaining the temperature of the liquid contents within a desired range for extended periods of time, while also preventing the formation of condensation on the outside of the vessel. Luminescent elements, such as shapes, letters, numbers or designs, are applied to the insulated wall structure to enhance visibility of the drinking vessel and the level of liquid beverage contents when in dark or low light conditions. In an alternative embodiment, the luminescent material is incorporated into the composition of the wall structure during the molding process. A removable lid may be provided for covering the open top of the drinking vessel.

  • Patent number: 6859962
Abstract: A set of sheets includes an upper sheet with a top panel and a lower sheet with a bottom panel. In conjunction, the upper and lower sheets are sized, structured and configured to enclose a mattress. A waterproof panel is positioned between the upper sheet and the top of the mattress to protect the mattress from damaging exposure to moisture and liquids, including bodily fluids. In several embodiments, the upper sheet and waterproof panel are removable for washing and changing thereof while the lower sheet remains fitted to the mattress, thereby avoiding the need to lift or move the mattress when changing the sheets. The waterproof panel may be independently removable to selectively control air permeability of the sheets, and particularly the upper sheet.

  • Patent number: 6823543
Abstract: A set of bed sheets includes a lower sheet sized and configured to cover the bottom portion of a mattress and an upper sheet sized and configured to cover the top portion of the mattress. First and second separable fasteners about the respective continuous edges of the lower and upper sheets are removably attachable to secure the upper sheet to the lower sheet in a manner which encloses the mattress. The upper sheet includes a top surface which is formed of a material to define a third separable fastener. A collection of accessories include a crib rail bumper, a head support wedge, body position rolls, an insulated baby bottle/cup holder and a liquid impervious drool pad. Each of the accessories is provided with a fourth separable fastener adapted for releasable attachment to the third separable fastener on the top surface of the upper sheet.

  • Patent number: 6651278
Abstract: A bed sheet set for increasing comfort and protection of bedding has air permeable upper and lower panels. The lower panel encompasses a mattress and has a fastener for releasably securing the superposed upper panel. The upper panel has another fastener that releasably secures a minor liquid proof panel. The minor portion can be secured in place during sleep periods or periods of inactivity and selectively removed to increase air flow and comfort. When soiled, only the minor portion need be removed to extend the time between changing and laundering the entire bed sheet set.

  • Patent number: 6631819
Abstract: A baby bottle has a main body with an upper portion and a lower portion, and a neck provided with threads for removably attaching a standard nipple and collar thereto. An insulated structure of the main body includes an inner wall, an outer wall, and an air space between the walls for maintaining the liquid contents hotter or cooler for extended periods of time, while also preventing the formation of condensation on the outside of the bottle. Luminescent elements, such as shapes, letters or numbers, are applied to the outer surface of the inner wall to enhance visibility of the bottle and the level of the liquid contents in dark or low light conditions. In an alternative embodiment, the luminescent material is incorporated into the composition of the wall structure during the molding process. The lower portion of the main body is shaped for easy grasping by infants and toddlers.

  • Publication number: 20030076671
Abstract: An insulated drinking cup containing evenly-spaced embedded circumferential bands of light-absorbing luminescent material positioned at regular intervals. In the preferred embodiment, the insulated drinking cup is formed from a transparent material consisting of an inner and outer wall that forms an airspace which insulates the contents of the cup. The bands of luminescent material are disposed in the insulating airspace. The bands of luminescent material illuminate the drinking cup in the dark, and make it possible to determine the level of liquid in the cup.
