Abstract: Systems and methods are described for measuring velocity of an object detected by a light detection and ranging (lidar) system. According to some aspects a method may include receiving a lidar dataset generated by the lidar system, transforming the lidar dataset into a first layer dataset and a second layer dataset, and converting the first layer dataset into a first image and the second layer dataset into a second image. The method may also include performing a feature detection operation that identifies at least one feature in the first image and the same feature in the second image, locating a first location of the feature in the first image and a second location of the feature in the second image, and generating a velocity estimate of the feature based on a difference between the first location and the second location and a difference between the different time intervals.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are provided for indoor localization. A self-driving vehicle may detect a first fiducial marker located at a first location within a building, wherein the first fiducial marker comprises first fiducial marker information associated with the first location. The self-driving vehicle may retrieve the first fiducial marker information from the first fiducial marker. The self-driving vehicle may generate localization information of the self-driving vehicle based on the first fiducial marker information. The self-driving vehicle may utilize the localization information to transition to a second location within the building, wherein the second location comprises a second fiducial marker.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing financing for long/short trading strategies including convertible arbitrage transactions is described. First, this novel strategy packages longs and shorts into a single purpose transparent vehicle based on a Single Risk Based Strategy. Second, the platform contains rules-based modules which apply variable margins against securities positions. The Unitary Financial Platform performs daily pricing, risk-based computer modeling, custodial monitoring, client interfacing, and risk reporting to external parties. Third, the funding structure requires that clients contribute capital thereby creating equity in the entity. If multiple parties are involved in a single entity, this requirement puts all clients at risk with respect to the other clients in the context of the rules and provides a clearinghouse like aspect to risk sharing within the entity.
