  • Publication number: 20140032613
Abstract: A dynamic integration framework allows property data to be dynamically influenced by external data sources. In one example, a client services component receives, from a client application, a request to create or edit an object. The client services component retrieves, from a content repository, an initial property set applicable to the object. An external data service specifies an initial property modification set based on property dependencies between controlling property values and dependent properties. The external data service provides the property modifications to the client services component with an initial data identifier that indicates a state of the property modifications. The client services component merges the initial property modifications and the initial data identifier with the initial property set.

  • Patent number: 8521644
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for directing cash flows associated with a mortgage-backed security to back other securities without collapsing the original mortgage-backed security. A mortgage-backed security/an/or a set of loans is analyzed to identify cash flows from mortgages having specific desirable characteristics, and the cash flows are directed to subgroups or pools that support new mortgage-backed securities. The new securities make the desirable cash flows available to an issuer or prospective investor without collapsing the original mortgage-backed security.

  • Patent number: 7819073
Abstract: A method for coordinating a floating wind turbine installation. The wind turbine installation includes a buoyant body (1), a tower (2) arranged over the buoyant body, a generator (3) mounted on the tower which is rotatable in relation to the wind direction and fitted with a wind rotor (4), and an anchor line arrangement (5) connected to anchors or anchor points on the sea bed. Static heeling, ?s—max, at full wind load on the wind turbine is as low as possible, but preferably less than 8 degrees, and all eigenperiods for the installation are outside the waves' period range. The eigenperiod in pitch, T05 (roll, T04), is preferably less than 80% of the T03 eigenperiod in heave. Moreover, the ratio between T03 and T05 is not close to 0.5 or 1.

  • Patent number: 7612704
Abstract: A mobile geophysical instrument produces geophysical data sets each associated with a position computed by use of a position sensor. A variable time delay results between a time when data for each geophysical data set is collected and a time when a position associated with each geophysical data set is recorded. A module receives distance transducer data and includes circuitry configured to generate a module signal based on trigger signals from the distance transducer and a calibration value. A data acquisition system (DAS) receives geophysical data sets from the geophysical instrument, positioning data from the positioning sensor, and the module signals. The DAS generates a DAS timestamp in response to each module signal and associates the DAS timestamp with each geophysical data set and a position associated with the geophysical data set, so as to substantially eliminate the variable time delay.

  • Publication number: 20090217084
Abstract: The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a method that includes transmitting content to a location for presentation across a plurality of display devices that each present a portion of the content. The method includes receiving an indication that a first portion of the content managed by a first computing device is unable to be presented on a first display device. The method also includes transmitting a command to display the first portion on a second display device (where the second display device is configured to present a second portion of the content) if the received indication specifies that the first display device experienced a failure or transmitting a command that the first portion be displayed on the first display device using a second computing device if the received indication specifies that the first computing device experienced a failure.

  • Patent number: 7529051
Abstract: An apparatus and method for compensation for variation in timing skew in a disc drive having at least one rotating disc is provided. A first head is positioned over a first disc surface and a second head is positioned over a second disc surface. The first disc surface includes a track having a first plurality of sectors and the second disc surface includes a track having a second plurality of sectors. Each sector of the second plurality of the sectors corresponds to a different sector of the first plurality of sectors, thereby forming a plurality of pairs of corresponding sectors. A timing skew value for each pair of corresponding sectors is computed to obtain a sequence of timing skew values. Data related to the sequence of timing skew values is utilized to compensate for variation in timing skew.

  • Patent number: 7511912
Abstract: Method and apparatus for certifying servo sectors on recording surfaces of a disc stack of a data storage device to promote servo sector alignment among the various recording surfaces. A reference servo sector pattern is written to a first recording surface, the reference pattern comprising a plurality of angularly spaced apart servo sectors. Multiple interleaved sets of servo sector patterns are written to each of the remaining recording surfaces, each interleaved pattern respectively comprising a plurality of angularly spaced apart servo sectors. A selected interleaved pattern is identified from each of the remaining surfaces that provides a desired alignment with the reference servo sector pattern, and the non-selected servo sector patterns are overwritten. The servo patterns can be written to the discs prior to installation using a multiple disc writing (MDW) station, or after installation of the discs into the data storage device using a servo track writing (STW) station.
