Abstract: An applicator assembly may include a body having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, an actuator operatively coupled to the body, a container disposed within the body, an application member attached to the distal end portion, and a valve disposed between the container and the application member. Actuation of the actuator opens the valve and places the interior of the container in fluid communication with the application member by way of a compressive force applied to the body. A method of applying a solution to a surface may include actuating the actuator, wherein actuation of the actuator applies a compressive force to the body that opens the valve and places the interior of the container in fluid communication with the application member, and contacting the application member to the surface, thereby applying the solution to the surface.

Abstract: A coupling for a powered search light includes a body that has a power device that provides electrical power or access to electrical power and a head coupled to the body including an lighting device which provides light when electrically powered. An end is coupled to or included as part of the body. A receiving coupling is coupled to or included as part of the head. A plurality of tabs are defined on the end and extending radially therefrom. A corresponding plurality of flanges are defined in the receiving coupling and extending radially inward therefrom. The end is arranged and configured to engage the receiving coupling by capture of the plurality of tabs by the corresponding plurality of flanges. A lock locks the plurality of tabs with respect to the plurality of flanges.

Abstract: A drying wand for drying baby bottles and their component parts including a handle and top portion, the top portion having a plurality of petal shaped elements attached thereto in a radial configuration, the petal shaped elements being preferably formed from a microfiber material for more efficiently drying baby bottles and parts thereof. The handle further includes an ergonomic outer grip surface allowing for secure, comfortable gripping when the drying wand is in use.

Abstract: A drying rack assembly for drying and storing baby bottles and other component parts of baby bottles thereon including a base housing having an air duct inlet and a fan associated therewith, and at least one trunk module having at least one branch associated therewith, each trunk module having a passageway extending therethrough in communication with the air duct inlet and each branch having a passageway extending therethrough in communication with a trunk passageway. The fan is positioned in the vicinity of the air duct inlet for directing the flow of air through said at least one trunk module and through said at least one branch to assist in drying an item positioned on said branch. A plurality of trunk modules can be assembled in a modular configuration to increase the storage capacity of the overall assembly.

Abstract: A brush assembly for use in cleaning baby bottles and component parts associated therewith including a handle and top brush portion, the top brush portion having a plurality of cleaning elements and a recessed cavity, the handle being releasably attachable to the top brush portion and including a nipple brush, the nipple brush being receivable within the recessed cavity when the top brush portion is releasably attached to the handle. The handle further includes an ergonomic outer grip surface allowing for secure, comfortable gripping when the brush assembly is in use. When the top brush portion is removed from the handle, the nipple brush is exposed and available for use. The cleaning elements may include at least one scrubbing element.

Abstract: A dishwasher basket for use within an existing dishwasher for holding baby items including a main basket, at least one side basket housed within the main basket and being selectively extendable from a position within the main basket to a second position extending at least partially outside of the main basket, a lid member hingedly secured to the main basket, and a midplate member removably positionable within the main basket and located between the at least one side basket and the lid member. Each side basket includes a plurality of straw openings associated with a cover member and a plurality of cone shaped members associated with the side basket for holding a straw in an upright position within the side basket.

Abstract: A micro motion poppet valve for a writing instrument provides delivery of ink with large pigment particles to a porous writing nib with minimal nib movement and relatively light actuation forces. The micro motion poppet valve includes a nib connected to a valve stem, the valve stem being connected to a valve plug. A valve body is integrally formed with a biasing element, which biases the valve stem towards a closed position. When a user presses the nib against a writing surface the valve plug moves away from a raised valve seat located on the biasing element to allow ink to flow from an ink reservoir to the nib.

Abstract: A syringe containing a high water content product and for use in a drug infusion system is provided. The syringe includes a plunger carrying front and rear o-rings made of a diene rubber compound such as chlorobutyl rubber or bromobutyl rubber to impart very low gas permeability characteristics to the o-rings. The plunger may be molded as a single part or in two parts. If molded as one part with radially-engaging mold portions, the seal glands in the plunger may include parting lines from the mold. If molded as two parts with axially-engaging mold portions, the front seal gland may include a sealing surface and under cut that has no parting line. The o-rings may be surface treated with a lubricant to improve sealing where the molding process gives rise to parting lines in the seal glands.

The first portion is thicker than the second portion, and the first portion is configured to mate with a needle spacer that enables actuation of a suture needle passer device.

Abstract: There is provided a method of, computer programs for and apparatus for providing and accessing digital content such as a news item. A news provider generates a news item, creates a digitally signed version of the news item and packages them together with a digital certificate issued by a certificate authority containing the public key required to decrypt the digitally signed version. The package is posted to a server and is transmitted, or made available or transmission, over a public data network together with a computer program for verifying the news item. A receiving party receives, over the public data network, the package at a client device and is provided with means for launching, and if necessary first downloading, the verifying program. The verifying program uses the public key contained in the certificate to verify the digitally signed news item.

The articulation mechanism includes a deflection assembly, first and second collar assemblies, first and second cables, a linkage, and an articulation actuator. The first and second collar assemblies are slidably disposed over the rod. The cables extend between the collar assemblies and the deflection assembly. Movement of the articulation actuator drives the first and second collar assemblies in opposite directions to cause a longitudinal deflection in the deflection assembly.
