  • Patent number: 10163462
Abstract: An exemplary write method disclosed herein includes receiving a request to write data to a consecutive sequence of logical block addresses (LBAs) that is the mapped to a non-contiguous sequence of data tracks on a storage medium, and writing the data of the consecutive sequence of LBAs to a non-contiguous sequence of data tracks on the storage medium and according to a consecutive track order.

  • Patent number: 8554133
Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for providing very high quality audio and video playback using all-digital wireless paths from the source to the speaker transducers, video displays and headphones located anywhere within a distance allowed by the FCC. Each speaker has a separate digital amplifier dedicated to each transducer within it (e.g. woofer, tweeter). The present invention also discloses a system that provides a data link capable of sending an all-digital, full-bandwidth, signal from the original digital source material to each separate transducer in the system without using sound degrading lossy data compression. This system is designed to read, broadcast, and reproduce with accurate audio loudspeaker time-alignment (<100 uS) and low overall latency (less than 7 milliseconds) all popular audio and video formats in full-bandwidth and without data compression in the effort to maintain the integrity of the entire audio and video signal.

  • Patent number: 7840983
Abstract: A computer-based digital wireless audio and video system for consumer audio, home theater and recording studio applications is disclosed. The system distributes synchronized 2-channel stereo and multi-channel home theater video and audio digital signals via wireless broadcast to a closed network including a personal computer, a display, and one or multiple digital active loudspeakers or headphones. Each loudspeaker has a separate digital amplifier dedicated to each transducer within it. The system provides a data link capable of sending an all-digital, full-bandwidth signal from the original digital source material to each separate transducer in the system without using sound degrading lossy data compression. This system is designed to read, broadcast, and reproduce with accurate audio and video channel synchronization in the effort to maintain the integrity of the entire audio and video signal.

  • Patent number: 7720795
Abstract: A method for communicating information for pre-defined metrics management of business metrics uses a system including a server and at least one user accessible device communicative with the server. The server has a database and a web interface. The method comprises providing a user with a web interface configurable to a template accommodating business metrics data by the user, and providing visual indications of the status of the business metrics.

  • Publication number: 20030009391
Abstract: Employees of an organization access an application to electronically submit orders for copy reproductions to a copy reproduction service provider. Using the application, an employee can select the desired copy reproduction service and begin to complete the appropriate order form. Once the order form is completed the employee selects the file or files with the material to be processed. The order information and files are then stored in a database, which can be accessed by the copy reproduction service provider through a service provider application. Using the service provider application, the copy reproduction service provider can view details of the order, download any required files and update the status of the order. The employee can view the status of an order, as it is updated, with the application. Finally, when the copy reproduction service provider completes an order, the copy reproduction service provider can distribute the order as instructed by the employee.

  • Patent number: 5765041
Abstract: Data is transferred from a host system to a subsystem connected to the host by a system bus in an efficient manner using one or more virtual first in first out (FIFO) registers in host memory and a corresponding set of virtual FIFOs located in the subsystem memory. A transmission controller controls the transfer of data from the host FIFOs to the subsystem FIFOs while the subsystem processor reads and processes data from the subsystem FIFO. By accumulating data in the host FIFOs before transfer to the subsystem, overhead associated with starting and stopping data transfers over the system bus is substantially reduced.
