  • Patent number: 11602033
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a network device that is capable of coordinating the control of light emitters. For example, the network device may receive data indicating conditions for activating the light emitters. The network device may then receive sensor data generated by various sensors, such as motion sensors, light sensors, or a timer. Using the sensor data, the network device may determine that the conditions are satisfied and, in response, cause the light emitters to activate. To activate first light emitters, the network device may transmit a signal to an electronic device that causes the first light emitters to activate. The first light emitters may be powered by the electronic device. Additionally, to activate second light emitters, the network device may transmit signals to the second light emitters that include commands to activate.

  • Patent number: 11101686
Abstract: In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for providing intelligent power control in response to an external power interruption, causing a processor is in an electrical fixture to interrogate an external power control switch to gain an understanding of the switch's state, where prior to the external power interruption the electrical fixture may be powered by external power and where external power may be connected and disconnected by a user of the switch. In the event that the switch's state is determined to be such that it would normally pass power to the electrical fixture, the processor causes the electrical fixture to operate using a backup power supply. In the event that the switch's state is determined to be such that it would normally not pass power to the electrical fixture, the processor causes the electrical fixture to act as if the user of the switch has intentionally removed power.

  • Patent number: 11039520
Abstract: The present disclosure describes an electronic device that is capable of coordinating the control of various types of lights. For example, the electronic device may receive data indicating conditions for activating the light emitters. The electronic device may then obtain sensor data generated by various sensors, such as motion sensors, light sensors, or a timer. Using the sensor data, the electronic device may determine that the conditions are satisfied and, in response, cause the light emitters to activate. To activate a first type of light emitters, the electronic device may cause power to be provided to the first type of emitters via connectors. Additionally, to activate additional types of light emitters, the electronic device may transmit signals to the additional types of light emitters that include commands to activate. The additional types of light emitters may be powered by the electronic device or external power sources.
