  • Publication number: 20140190483
Abstract: A self-contained respiratory protection system is disclosed. The system includes a center module attachable to one or more cylinders of air, gas or oxygen. A plurality of filters is mountable on the center module. A blower motor also may be mounted on the center module. A hose attaches to a cylinder to provide air to an operator or draws filtered air via the filters on the center module. A first stage regulator converts the air in the cylinder to breathable air for the operator. A second stage regulator transitions between filter mode and supplied air. The system may fit within a backpack.

  • Patent number: 8215196
Abstract: A power tong having a ring gear, a gear train, a motor and a gear shift mechanism. The gear shift mechanism further includes a linear actuator and a shift arm connect to the linear actuator. A drive gear is positioned on a drive shaft extending from the motor and this drive gear includes an upper and lower set of drive teeth having beveled top portions. The shift arm engages the drive gear between the upper and lower set of drive teeth and movement of the linear actuator causes the drive gear to engage one of at least two gears in the gear train.

  • Publication number: 20100050407
Abstract: A method for repairing a damaged or corroded tong jaw having a jaw root and an original seating component. The method includes the steps of: (a) machining away corroded or damaged portions of the original seating component; (b) machining into a non-damaged portion of the original seating component and/or jaw root, thereby forming a machined base configured to receive a new seating component, the new seating component including a feature adapted for engaging the machined base. The new seating component is then connected onto the machined base.

  • Patent number: 7364733
Abstract: The invention provides purified ACT-4 receptor polypeptides, antibodies against these polypeptides and nucleic acids encoding ACT-4 receptor polypeptides. Also provided are methods of diagnosis and treatment using the same. ACT-4 receptors are preferentially expressed on the surface of activated CD4+ T-cells. ACT-4 receptors are usually expressed at low levels on the surface of activated CD8+ cells, and are usually substantially absent on resting T-cells, and on monocytes and B-cells (resting or activated). An exemplary ACT-4 receptor, termed ACT-4-h-1, has a signal sequence, an extracellular domain comprising three disulfide-bonded intrachain loops, a transmembrane domain, and an intracellular domain.

  • Patent number: 7264177
Abstract: An automated irrigation and chemical treatment system comprising a user input device adapted to communicate with a control unit; a mixing chamber adapted to communicate with the control unit and connected to a water supply and chemical canisters, wherein each canister has a sensor to monitor fluid level therein, and control valves for connecting the mixing chamber to a network of pipes. Sprinkler heads connected to the network of pipes each include, a control valve adapted to control fluid flow to a water delivery nozzle by an electro magnet controlled rubber coated ferric ball closure member. The sprinkler heads include water and chemical saturation sensors and the sprinkler heads also communicate with the control unit via wireless transceivers. Multiple zones covered by the system may be treated according to predetermined schedules.
