  • Publication number: 20170282661
Abstract: A utility sled is formed from a lightweight material and includes a handle flexibly attached to the front end thereof. The handle includes a hook that is seated within a small opening of the utility sled when not in use. A pair of retractable wheels is attached to an exterior of each sidewall of the utility sled. The sidewalls are biased outward when no load is present. When loaded, the sidewalls advantageously tend to straighten vertically. The formed bottom of the sled includes a plurality of ribs which both add strength to the sled as well as function as sled runners when the wheels are retracted. The ribs operate to reduce friction between the sled bottom and the underlying surface.

  • Publication number: 20170090461
Abstract: Method, system and calibration marker for calibrating a three-dimensional printer. The method includes the steps of providing an image of a calibration marker to the three-dimensional printer; forming a calibration marker based on the provided image by depositing toner material on a first substrate of the printer, the calibration marker having a feature size and being fully interconnected to impart structural integrity to the calibration marker, and having annular spectral energy concentrated at a radius determined by the feature size of the calibration marker, wherein the interconnectedness and feature size of the calibration marker enables the structural integrity of the calibration marker to be maintained during transfer; transferring the formed calibration marker from the first substrate to a second substrate of the printer; and calibrating the printer from a determination of distortion introduced to the calibration marker during the forming and the transferring of the calibration marker.

  • Patent number: 9597459
Abstract: A drive mechanism for a drug delivery device is presented that can be switched between a normal operation mode and a reset mode. A piston rod is displaced in a distal direction to deliver a dose in a normal operation mode and is displaced in the proximal direction in a reset mode. The drive mechanism also has a drive member that is rotationally moveable with respect to the housing, wherein in the normal operation mode, the drive member is coupled with the piston rod so that rotational movement of the drive member in the rotation direction with respect to the housing is converted into movement of the piston rod in the distal direction with respect to the housing, and wherein, in the reset mode, the piston rod is decoupled from the drive member.
