Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a Content Delivery Network (CDN) for broadcasting data streams. The CDN allows a streamer to stream live (in realtime) on a network(s), such as the Internet, for a live audience to view and to interact with the live entertainment. Each of the broadcast clients send data streams to the CDN via an input node, wherein the CDN output a selected media stream to one or more selected viewing clients via the output node. The architecture of the CDN contains one or more System Racks. Each of the System Racks contains multiple media channels. In operation, the data stream of a broadcasting client is sent to the CDN and distributed into selected channels. The data streams in each of the selected channels are outputted to viewing clients of a corresponding type.

Abstract: A cover for covering a car or luggage on top of a car is described. The cover is made of a stretchy material such that it can expand to tightly fit the size and shape of a large variety of items or vehicles. Thus, the material composition as well as cover layers are crucial in obtaining the optimal balance of flexibility and protection. In many embodiments securing mechanisms are provided around the base of the cover as well as over the top of the cover to aid in securing the cover over the items or vehicle. In some embodiments a lower cover is provided which sits under items on top of a vehicle and protects the roof of the vehicle from the items.

Abstract: Methods, systems and devices are provided for communicating multimedia content over a service provider network. A network server may receive an audio-video stream from a content provider server, relaying the audio-video stream to a receiver device via the service provider network, receive an operating mode notification identifying a user behavior from the receiver device, and ceasing the relaying of the audio-video stream to the receiver device based on the user behavior. The network server may also alter the audio-video stream based on the received operating mode notification and send the altered audio-video stream to the receiver device via the service provider network.

Abstract: A powered air purifying respirator and method of operating the same. The powered air purifying respirator comprises a fluid moving device. The fluid moving device comprises an outlet, an airflow sensor retaining member located proximate to the outlet, and an airflow sensor engaged with the airflow sensor retaining member.

Abstract: A connector for electrically connecting to conductive structures formed on a semiconductor device includes a core including an isolation layer and signal vias and ground vias formed in the isolation layer; a first ground plane formed on a surface of the core and electrically connected to the ground vias; a first set of contact elements formed on a first surface of the core and electrically connected to the signal vias to form signal pins; a second set of contact elements formed on the first surface and electrically connected to a subset of the ground vias to form ground pins. The remaining ground vias without contact elements form buried ground vias. The first and second sets of contact elements are arranged on the first surface of the core to surround each signal pin by at least one adjacent ground pin and one or more adjacent buried ground vias.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing perovskite-based devices, such as solar cells. In ambient air includes steps of forming a perovskite film on a substrate by spin-coating, the perovskite film having a turbid point when the perovskite film transitions from transparent to turbid in appearance, and dropping an antisolvent on the perovskite film during an antisolvent window having a start time five seconds before the turbid point and an end time one second before the turbid point. The method also includes the step of measuring the current relative humidity of the ambient air at the time of manufacture and adjusting the antisolvent window or optimum drop time of the antisolvent based upon the current relative humidity.

Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for automatically determining and enforcing user permissions for applications and application features. In some embodiments, a system includes a server and a user device. The server may determine a user of the user device based on receiving login credential data. The server may further obtain user attributes for the user including, in some examples, a location of the user. The server may further obtain an attribute-based control policy that identifies relationships between a plurality of possible user attributes. For example, the attribute-based control policy may identify attribute requirements that must be met for enablement of a particular application feature. Additionally, the server may determine user permissions for the user based on the attribute-based control policy and the user attributes. The server may transmit the user permissions to the user device, and the user device configures the corresponding application according to the user permissions.

Abstract: A vent stop includes: a housing; a tumbler; a biasing member having a first portion secured to the tumbler and a second portion in movable contact with a housing track, to selectively bias the tumbler. Movement of the second portion along the track is coordinated with sequential pivoting of the tumbler between extended, retracted, partially extended, and intermediate positions. In the extended position, a tumbler bearing surface limits opening of the sash member. When toggled from the extended position to the retracted position and subsequently released, outward bias of the tumbler is limited to the partially extended position by contact of the second portion with a track recess. Subsequent contact of the sash member with the deflection surface causes pivoting from the partially extended to the intermediate position, permitting unrestricted sash member opening, release of the second portion from the contact point, and biasing back toward the extended position.

Abstract: A sash window fastener includes: a latch assembly; a lock assembly mounted upon the meeting rail; and a stop assembly mounted to the master frame. The lock assembly includes a pivotable cam to engage a keeper on the master frame to lock the window, and a pivotable follower arm, which interconnects with the latch assembly within the meeting rail, so cam rotation that drives arm rotation also causes translation of the latch. The cam occupies: an extended position to secure the cam to the keeper, with the latch tongue engaging the master frame to prevent tilting, also being positioned below a stop assembly protrusion to redundantly lock the window; a first retracted position permitting sliding of the window; and a second retracted position permitting tilting of the sash window. A slidable stop on the stop assembly dampens sliding sash window movement and subsequently acts as a vent stop.

The load conduit delivers fluid from the valve to the load. The heat exchange system also includes an exhaust conduit that directs the fluid away from the valve. A portion of the load conduit is positioned so as to thermally transfer heat to a portion of the exhaust conduit.

Abstract: A window vent stop for use in a sliding sash window or a sliding sash door assembly. The vent stop includes a housing and a tumbler. The housing is adapted to be disposed in a recess in a rail or stile of the window/door. This housing includes a cavity with a bottom wall therein. The tumbler has at least one pivot for pivotally securing the tumbler to the housing for movement between an extended position, to prevent movement of the sliding member, and a retracted position, to allow movement of the sliding member. The tumbler is formed with a protruding spring member for selectively biasing the tumbler. The housing has one or more flexible members extending from each of its end walls to secure the housing within the opening in the sash member.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus that facilitate providing alternative content to customer devices in systems supporting DASH streaming are described. Various features relate to dynamically modifying and providing media presentation description (MPD) information to customer devices. MPD information is used by customer devices to obtain media content, e.g., program content and/or alternative content. The client device, e.g., a IP content playback device, switches between a mode used during playing of program segments in which an in-band EMSG is used to trigger a request for an MPD update and a mode of operation used during the playing of additional or alternative content segments during which the client device will periodically request MPD information. By limiting requests for MPD information during normal program segments to requests triggered by an EMSG the number of update requests can be minimized or reduced as compared to other approaches where requests for updated MPD information are made periodically.

Abstract: A reusable two-way respirator mask comprising a filter cover, a filter base, a facepiece, and a filter adapted to remove airborne pathogens. The facepiece is configured to interface with the face of the user and deform under moderate pressure to create a substantially airtight seal with the user's face. The filter cover and filter base a removably coupled such that the user may easily replace the filter by decoupling the filter cover and filter base. Both inhalation and exhalation pass through the filter, reducing the user's inhalation of pathogens and reducing the spread of pathogens from the user to others. The reusable two-way respirator mask is constructed of head resistant materials, suitable for repeated disinfecting.

Abstract: A vehicle protector is described. In some embodiments the vehicle protector comprises an outer frame and an interior section. In some embodiments the outer frame and interior section are each one piece, in other embodiments they are both made of multiple pieces, and in another embodiment either the outer frame or interior section are made of multiple pieces. In some embodiments the outer frame and interior section are equipped with fasteners which join the areas together. In other embodiments the outer frame pieces are equipped with fasteners which join them together and in other embodiments the interior section pieces are equipped with fasteners which join them together. In some embodiments the bottom surface comprises features to raise the vehicle protector off of the vehicle. In some embodiments the vehicle protector comprises a lock which secures the sections together to reduce the potential for theft.
