  • Publication number: 20170241648
Abstract: The instant invention provides for a kit and method of raising inlet temperature of a water supply by utilizing thermodynamic properties associated with difference in temperatures across a gradient and friction. In particular a portion of an inlet supply pipe is disposed in a sewer line such that the opposing flow of waste water and related material interacts with the inlet piping by increasing the temperature thereof.

  • Patent number: 9706879
Abstract: A blade driving assembly includes a blade-supporting shaft disposed to rotate parallel to, but laterally offset from, the axis of a food processor's drive outlet. A planetary drive system conveys rotational drive to the blade-supporting shaft, so that the blade-supporting shaft rotates around its own axis, thereby spinning the blade or blades, while at the same time the blade-supporting shaft rotates bodily around the drive-outlet axis, describing a locus, centered on the drive-outlet axis but separated therefrom by a radial distance (d) corresponding to the lateral offset.

  • Patent number: 9636959
Abstract: A wiring connector for connecting the lighting system wiring of a first vehicle to the lighting system wiring of a second vehicle so that lights on the first vehicle are activated when corresponding lights on the second vehicle are activated. The connector includes a plurality of terminals configured for coupling with corresponding terminals on a mating connector on the second vehicle; a plurality of wires each having one end electrically coupled with one of the terminals and another end for electrically connecting to the wiring of the first vehicle lighting system; a wire-retaining ring; and a housing formed around the terminals, the wires, and the wire-retaining ring, the housing including a central opening within the wire-retaining ring.

  • Patent number: 9443497
Abstract: A tuning device with a time display is disclosed. The tuning device has a vibration sensor, a microprocessor, machine readable memory, and a display. A computer program stored in the machine readable memory for executing with the microprocessor to analyze audio frequency signals to determine musical pitch and error information for the detected audio frequency, and display both the time of day and the musical pitch and error information. A display has two display areas, one for display of the musical pitch and error information, and another for alternating display of the time of day and an A-reference setting. User inputs are provided for selecting among several user session modes, including a continual time of day display mode, or a tuning information mode, and a timer display mode. A clamp is provided for mechanically mounting the tuning device to a musical instrument and transmitting acoustic vibrations.

  • Patent number: 9223781
Abstract: The system provides for the automatic editing of a video comprised of a plurality of content segments. When two or more content clips are available at a particular moment in time, the system will automatically choose at least a portion of one of the clips pursuant to preference metrics determined by a user. The system contemplates the ability of the user to define specific metrics to control the editing, including frequency of edits, content of content clip, level of activity, and the like. In another embodiment, the system has a plurality of pre-defined editing modes that define various metrics for use in the automatic editing system, including guaranteed participation, speaker-centric, quality of clip, and the like.

  • Patent number: 9176902
Abstract: Described are techniques for migrating data. A source data storage system includes a source device and a target data storage system includes a target device. A passive path and an active path are provided for a host to access data of a logical device. The host recognizes the passive path and the active path as paths to the logical device. The passive path is between the host and the source data storage system. The active path is between the host and the target data storage system and used in connection with proxying requests directed to the logical device received from the host through the target data storage system while migrating data for the logical device from the source device to the target device. Migrating is controlled by a migration module executing on the target data storage system that copies data from the source device to the target device.
