  • Patent number: 11931956
Abstract: This invention teaches a multi-sensor quality inference system for additive manufacturing. This invention still further teaches a quality system that is capable of discerning and addressing three quality issues: i) process anomalies, or extreme unpredictable events uncorrelated to process inputs; ii) process variations, or difference between desired process parameters and actual operating conditions; and iii) material structure and properties, or the quality of the resultant material created by the Additive Manufacturing process. This invention further teaches experimental observations of the Additive Manufacturing process made only in a Lagrangian frame of reference. This invention even further teaches the use of the gathered sensor data to evaluate and control additive manufacturing operations in real time.

  • Publication number: 20230363855
Abstract: A dental separator device includes an elastic body having a first end and a second end. A first surface engager is connected to the first end of the body. The first surface engager includes a first distal section and a first mesial section and a notch between the first distal section and the first mesial section. The first distal section and the first mesial section each include a pair of spaced apart hands. A second surface engager is connected to the second end of the body. The second surface engager includes a second distal section and a second mesial section, and a notch between the second distal section and the second mesial section. The second distal section and the second mesial section each include a pair of spaced apart hands. • Publication number: 20230338116
Abstract: The dental wedge has an elongated body extending from an outer end to an opposite inner end. The body includes a longitudinal intermediate wall, a longitudinal first side wall connected to the intermediate wall, and a longitudinal second side wall connected to the intermediate wall. The first side wall and the second side wall each flare away from the intermediate wall such that a first distal end of the first side wall and a second distal end of the second side wall are spaced apart creating an inverted generally V-shaped transverse section for the body. The body has a top surface and a bottom surface formed by the intermediate wall, the first side wall and the second side wall. The intermediate wall includes a region of increased flexibility compared to each of the first side wall and the second side wall.

  • Publication number: 20210386515
Abstract: Methods and devices for interproximal dental restoration are disclosed. One version of the present disclosure provides a method for the restoration of a tooth including a top surface, and an interproximal surface facing an adjacent tooth. The method of restoration includes removing a portion of the top surface of the tooth, and a portion of the interproximal surface of the tooth to form a hollow cavity preparation extending from the top surface to the interproximal surface. The removed portion of the interproximal space is surrounded by a dental matrix. Restoration of the tooth further includes moving the dental matrix away from the hollow cavity preparation towards the adjacent tooth, and bonding at least a section of the dental matrix to the tooth. Light-curable composite resin is then injected into the cavity preparation and light cured.
