  • Patent number: 6173832
Abstract: The conveyor chain, shown in the figure, has links interconnected by pivot pins, each passing through legs of one link and through generally C-shaped annular portion of an adjacent link said portion being seated between the legs. The pivot pin passes through part-cylindrical core seated with annular portion. Each C-shaped portion has integral legs. Each core is integrally formed with disc element seated in a curved stepped guide recess of the adjacent link. The upper surface of each disc element is arranged in the same plane as the upper surface of the adjacent link. As the chain travels on a flat surface the upper surface of the chain is flat with disc element covering the gaps.

  • Patent number: 5579695
Abstract: An assembly line system has a pallet travelling along a work top of a work table section. The table section has a track along which a cardanic chain moves to convey pucks connected to the underside of the pallet in spring-loaded manner, by means of frictional engagement between the chain and pucks. The pallet is provided with a set of castors having resilient wheels. Passageways convey the pneumatic supply necessary for operating various items of equipment along the assembly line. The assembly line system also includes an adjustable track bend. In a modification the pucks are locked in the track.

  • Patent number: 4214844
Abstract: A compressed air operated dispenser for separating and dispensing small helical coil springs or other small elongate workpieces comprises a trough providing a dispensing chamber into which the workpieces can be introduced to form a loosely packed bed in the bottom part thereof. An air supply mechanism effects blowing jets of compressed air intermittently, in a downwards direction, into the bottom part adjacent one side of the trough such that the compressed air is caused to sweep over the interior bottom surface by which it is deflected into an upwardly directed airstream adjacent the opposite side, thereby creating turbulence effective to agitate and carry upwards at least some of the workpieces to outlet apertures disposed in the upper part of the trough in the path of the upwardly directed airstream.
