Abstract: An application mapping procedure obtains and aggregates application mapping information from a plurality of machines in a distributed system. An application dependency map, including first layer of application mapping information, is initialized, and then a first query is sent to one or more of the machines. In response, information identifying entities that have participated in predefined communications with entities identified in an existing layer of application mapping information in the application dependency map are received, and a second layer of application mapping information is added to the application dependency map, based at least in part on the information received in response to the first query. After adding the second layer of application mapping information to the application dependency map, a second query is sent to one or more of the of the endpoint machines, the second query being based at least in part on the application dependency map.

Abstract: The invention provides a vapor dispersing device having a frangible ampoule containing a volatizable material and a jacket around the ampoule for transferring the volatizable material to an evaporative pad. The jacket may include an extension serving as a wick between the ampoule and the evaporative pad. A portion of the device housing is movable to rupture the ampoule to initiate the transfer of the volatizable material.

Abstract: A package for a sporting device having a display and electrical components mounted on a pair of circuit boards includes a housing defining a chamber receiving the boards and the display, front and back covers on opposite sides of the housing, and a stiffener disposed between the boards. The packaging allows the sporting device to be attached to sports equipment such as ball catching gloves as well as parts of the body and clothing. For high impact loading, an optional shock-absorbing pad with spaced ribs can be mounted on a back face of the back cover.

Abstract: The present invention describes ultrasonic surgical instruments that include a mechanism for clamping tissue against an ultrasonic blade, including an arrangement for detachably mounting a clamp arm to the instrument. The ultrasonic surgical instrument comprises a waveguide adapted to be acoustically coupled to an ultrasonic transducer, and to transmit ultrasonic energy to an end-effector located at the distal end of the waveguide. A support tube extends from a handle assembly and surrounds at least a portion of the waveguide, terminating proximal to the end-effector. A clamp arm is detachably mounted to the distal end of the support tube. An actuation element is operatively coupled to the clamp arm. The ultrasonic surgical instrument may also include a clamp arm release.
