  • Patent number: 11947670
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for malicious software detection based on API trust. In an example, a set of software instructions executed by a computing device may call an API. A hook may be generated on the API, such that a threat processor may receive an indication when the API is called. Accordingly, the threat processor may generate a trust metric based on the execution of the set of software instructions, which may be used to determine whether the set of software instructions poses a potential threat. For example, one or more call stack frames may be evaluated to determine whether a return address is preceded by a call instruction, whether the return address is associated with a set of software instructions or memory associated with a set of software instructions, and/or whether the set of software instructions satisfies a variety of security criteria.

  • Publication number: 20200258093
Abstract: A method includes reading a standards content into a compliance standard input processor and loading a security requirement into a compliance mapping database. The method also includes inputting a security requirement score for each of a set of security requirements for a product, receiving a request for a compliance report for the product based on the standards content, and matching a correlation between the product and the standards content. The method also includes outputting the compliance report for the product, the compliance reporting having the set of security requirements for the product and the security requirement score for the product.

  • Publication number: 20170209778
Abstract: A device, method, and system for developing, managing, acquiring and playing electronic board games. Game developers may illustratively access one or more electronic game board, game piece templates and/or other game development application software from a game server to design and develop electronic board games. Such electronic board games may then be acquired by game players in the form of full, limited and/or modifiable versions. A game service module of the game server makes a number of electronic board game related services available to game players for managing, playing and acquiring electronic board game collections and/or for enhancing or facilitating electronic board game playing.

  • Patent number: 6465739
Abstract: Ceramic compositions which exhibit the phenomenon of superconductivity are disclosed. Methods of making and using the compositions are included. The compositions comprise 1-2-3 ceramic compositions (e.g., Y, Ba, Cu/Ag) with the fourth constituent comprising sulfur, selenium or tellurium. Unexpectedly high temperature (e.g., non-cryogenic) and essentially atmospheric pressure superconductor characteristics are shown.

  • Patent number: 5518972
Abstract: Disclosed are ceramic materials and methods of making the same comprising yttrium, barium, silver, and either selenium or sulfur. Those ceramic materials show changes in magnetic susceptibility at around 373.degree. K. with selenium and 195.degree. K. with sulfur.

  • Patent number: 5381298
Abstract: The invention provides an electric fence charger of the type that periodically provides high voltage electrical shock pulses through an electric fence wire. The fence charger has a low voltage power source that powers the fence charger and supplies a charging current. An energy converter converts the low voltage and charging current of the power source to high voltage for storage in a high voltage storage means. A timer emits pulse discharge control signals on a periodic basis and these control signals are used to control discharge of the stored high voltage for delivering shocking pulses into the fence wire. A regulator adjusts operation of the energy converter to provide a minimum high voltage energy level as long as the power source voltage exceeds an established power source voltage reference. In another embodiment of the invention, a fence charger employs a DC-DC flyback converter for charging a high voltage storage means to a discharge voltage level which provides a minimum shock energy pulse.

  • Patent number: 4992140
Abstract: An improved method, and resulting product, for creping a web of papermaking fibers by adhering the web to a creping dryer and with a creping blade removing the web from the creping dryer which provides increased absorbency with less reduction in strength. The improvement comprises reducing the cohesive forces between the fibers to a greater extent than reducing the adhesive forces between the web and the creping dryer accomplished by applying a fluid at least primarily comprising water overall to the side of the web away from the creping dryer in sufficient quantity and at a position to accomplish the improved results. The method is particularly useful in the practice of wet creping wherein the web is creped from the creping dryer at a dryness of from 45% to 60%.
