  • Patent number: 6162967
Abstract: A method for introgressing soybean cyst nematode resistance into elite soybean germplasm is disclosed. The method involves using genetically mapped loci associated with soybean cyst nematode resistance for marker-assisted selection during introgression of soybean cyst nematode resistance into elite soybean germplasm. Also disclosed are a method for confirming selection for soybean cyst nematode resistance; quantitative trait loci associated with soybean cyst nematode resistance; and soybean lines bred to be resistant to soybean cyst nematode infestation. Also disclosed is a method for using the mapped markers for positional cloning of soybean cyst nematode resistance genes.

  • Patent number: 4937607
Abstract: A processor for photosensitive sheet material which allows uniform initial exposure of the sheet material to developer solution. The processor includes a channel defined by an initial roller pair submerged in developer tank, third and fourth rollers above the rollers of the pair. The channel runs horizontally in the processor and has a stream of developer. The sheet to be developed travels downward through the stream and through the nip of the initial roller pair.

  • Patent number: 4878861
Abstract: A compliant electrical connector pin for press-fit connection to a plated hole in a circuit board is disclosed. A compliant section is provided on the pin to frictionally engage the hole walls, thereby retaining the pin within the hole. The compliant section includes two V-shaped troughs having flat bottom faces. These faces define a web which compresses when the compliant section is pressed into the hole. Barrier walls in the bottom of each trough normal to the flat bottom face guide the compression of the web and prevent the web from splitting or shearing. The sides of the trough define two flanges, the exterior of which contact the hole in the circuit board. The outer corners of the flanges are angled to match more closely the circular shape of the hole, thereby reducing hole damage from sharp corners on the compliant section and enabling the pin to fit smaller diameter holes.

  • Patent number: 4761731
Abstract: Certain stored program digital computer systems employ a single central memory to which requests are made for individual instruction words stored within it. Certain types of these memories employ address queues in which requests may be temporarily stored when requests come in more rapidly than the central memory can service them. A write valid memory records each central memory request and provides a status signal which can be used to prevent placing of a further request for the word at an address in the queue.

  • Patent number: 4736275
Abstract: A circuit pattern on the surface of a printed circuit board is used as a guide and connection circuit for closely spaced contacts of a connector to be connected to the circuit board. The contacts of the connector are closely spaced and possibly would not contact the connection pads or might be located between connection pads because of the close spacing of the contacts. The guides formed from circuit patterns accurately guide the connector to the connector pads on the circuit board and place each contact over its respective circuit connection pad.

  • Patent number: 4511994
Abstract: A logic system maintains current least recently used information among the elements of each group in a plurality of groups where each group includes two or more elements. A memory stores intermediate information regarding the relative precedence between each combination of elements in a given group. A logic network recomputes this value each time an element in a group is used and provides this new information to the memory and to a network which resolves the current least recently used status.
