  • Patent number: 11950848
Abstract: An example system for microvascular assessment of a patient can include: a fundus imaging device including: a camera configured to capture one or more images of an eye of the patient; and at least one light source; and a microvascular assessment computing device including: a processor; and memory encoding instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the system to: activate the light source to direct light at a fundus of the eye of the patient; capture, with the camera, one or more images of the fundus of the patient, the fundus comprising a plurality of blood vessels; and analyze with the microvascular assessment computing device, the one or more images to determine a microvasculature health index for the patient.

  • Patent number: 4069220
Abstract: A process has been developed for producing complexes of phenol or phenolic compounds and hexamethylenetetramine by mixing the ingredients with only enough water, or other suitable solvent, to promote the reaction. Heat liberated by the reaction is controlled by cooling the mixing chamber, and drying is accomplished by removing the small amount of solvent in conventional type dryers.

Date of Patent: January 17, 1978
    Assignee: Jim Walter Resources, Inc.
Inventors: Henry Philip Orem, David R. Hart, Jerry E. Hill
  • Patent number: 4014827
Abstract: Reaction products of phenol and hexamethylenetetramine act as methylene donors in rubber compounds containing acceptors such as free resorcinol or precondensed resorcinol-formaldehyde (RF) resins. The products of reaction between this methylene donor and various methylene acceptors produce excellent adhesion between the rubber compounds and reinforcing substrates. Reinforcement of the rubber compound is obtained and this donor does not cause degradation of polyester cord used as a reinforcing substrate.

  • Patent number: 3936451
Abstract: A process for producing a salt of hexamethylenetetramine (hexa), such as the tolulene sulfonic acid (TSA) - hexa salt, by mixing an acid with hexamethylenetetramine and only enough solvent such as water to promote the reaction. Excess heat liberated by the reaction is controlled by cooling the mixing chamber and drying is accomplished in a heated or ambient atmosphere except for hygroscopic salts which are easily dried in a vacuum or may be dried in a very dry atmosphere.
