The controller is configured to authenticate the control signal, wherein authenticating the control signal includes associating the signal with a first level of access or a second level of access. The controller is further configured to communicate with the door lock via the communication circuitry to permit opening of the passageway door in response to associating the control signal with the first level of access and inhibit opening of the passageway door in response to associating the control signal with the second level of access. The controller is configured to cause the motor to open the movable barrier regardless of association of the control signal with the first level of access or the second level of access.

The movable barrier operator further includes a shaft supported by the body and a compound gear mounted on the shaft. The compound gear includes a first gear operably coupled to a drive shaft of the motor and a second gear operably coupled to the rotatable drive. The first and second gears connected such that turning of the first gear causes turning of the second gear.

Abstract: In one aspect, a method for using a remote control to train a trainable transmitter is provided. The method includes receiving a user input at a user interface of the remote control, broadcasting to a controllable device a first radio frequency communication via a first security protocol in response to receiving the user input at the user interface, the first communication including a first fixed code and a first changing code. The method further includes measuring a duration of the user input and broadcasting to the controllable device and the trainable transmitter a second radio frequency communication via a second security protocol different than the first security protocol in response to the measured duration of the user input satisfying a user input duration condition, the second radio frequency communication including the first fixed code and the first changing code.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for enabling on-demand, temporary storage of an autonomous vehicle in vehicle storage areas of existing infrastructures. The vehicle storage areas include one or more movable barrier operators configured to control access to the vehicle storage areas via movable barriers. An autonomous vehicle access control platform is configured to enable access to individual ones of the vehicle storage areas by a single-use access credential sent to at least one of the autonomous vehicle and one of the movable barrier operators. The autonomous vehicle access control platform communicates with a transportation-as-a-service (TaaS) platform that pairs an autonomous vehicle with a vehicle storage area for storage based at least on a factor or parameter including the location of the vehicle storage area relative to the autonomous vehicle.
