  • Patent number: 11096506
Abstract: An anti-theft assembly for deterring theft of a ring is provided. The anti-theft assembly includes a base that can be used to support an electronic article surveillance marker; a product engagement member including a support member that supports the ring during use and a locking member that secures the support member to the base; and an attachment member for securing the ring to the support member. In one embodiment, the support member and the locking member are a single, unitary member. In another embodiment, the support member and the locking member are separate members. Once assembled, upon applying a twisting force to the ring the engagement member rotates within the opening so that the attachment member is not broken.

  • Patent number: 10976819
Abstract: In some examples, a system senses the location of a stylus or finger of a user relative to a virtual displayed object to determine when a virtual touch occurs. Upon or after such a determination, the system may generate a haptic action that indicates to the user that the virtual touch occurred. The haptic action may be located on a particular portion of a haptic device, which may be a handheld device. The particular portion may correspond to the location where the virtual displayed object was virtually touched. In this way, the user may receive physical feedback associated with the virtual touch of the virtual displayed object. In some examples, the virtual displayed object may change in response to the virtual touch, thus further providing visual and physical feedback associated with the virtual touch of the virtual displayed object to the user.

  • Patent number: 9915934
Abstract: A motion control system includes a motion control application generated by a motion control system designer, a motion control component defining an application programming interface comprising an API function, and a security system comprising security settings for determining access by the motion control application to an API function of the application programming interface. A motion control application comprises an API function call. The motion control application makes an API function call to the motion control component. The motion control component generates a motion control command based on the API function call. The security system limits generation by the motion control component of a motion control command based on the security settings. The motion device performs the motion task based on the motion control command.

  • Patent number: 9693641
Abstract: A display hanger is disclosed including a first and a second panel, at least one stress-relief member formed in one of the first or second panel, the stress-relief member having an inner surface that is secured to an inner surface of an opposing panel of the hanger, for example by an adhesive. The at least one stress-relief member moves stress away from the leading edge of the adhesive and more evenly distributes the stress across a wider area of the base of the display hanger. This results in the adhesive being under lower stress, which reduces adhesive failure in less than desirable situations since the display hanger material becomes the point on failure instead of the adhesive bond.

  • Patent number: 9588510
Abstract: A data collection system for distributing data from at least one target asset to at least one software application, comprising a machine platform and a data routing system. The machine platform stores data associated with the at least one target asset. The data routing system collects data from the machine platform. The data routing system operates in a pass through mode and a data processing mode. In the pass through mode, data is passed from the at least one target asset to the at least one software application without modification. In the data processing mode, the data routing system generates modified data based on the data stored by the machine platform and sends the modified data to the at least one software application.

  • Publication number: 20170038763
Abstract: A motion system for allowing a person to cause a desired motion operation to be performed, comprising a network, a motion machine, a speech to text converter, a message protocol generator, an instant message receiver, and a motion services system. The motion machine is capable of performing motion operations. The speech to text converter generates a digital representation of a spoken motion message spoken by the person. The message protocol generator generates a digital motion command based on the digital representation of the spoken motion message and causes the digital motion command to be transmitted over the network. The instant message receiver receives the digital motion command. The motion services system causes the motion machine to perform the desired motion operation based on the digital motion command received by the instant message receiver.
