Patent number: 11947407Abstract: A computer system, method, and non-transitory computer-readable medium are provided. A request including unauthenticated data is created and securely transmitted to a remote device, metadata corresponding to the request is updated to indicate successful validation, a response file is validated, and a discrepancy is detected between the unauthenticated data and the authenticated data. Correction data is obtained, and a transaction based on the request and the correction data is executed. A second processor of the remote device verifies that an unauthorized user has not modified the authenticated data, generates a database table based on one or more fields of the authenticated data, extracts one or more predetermined data values from the authenticated data and the database table, and validates the unauthenticated data in the request based on comparing the one or more predetermined data values from the authenticated data and the database table to the unauthenticated data in the request.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2023Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: FEDERAL HOME LOAN MORTGAGE CORPORATION (FREDDIE MAC)Inventors: David M. Publication number: 20210397522Abstract: A document management system circulates documents to users, protects the documents, including intermediate drafts and versions, and ensures retention for compliance and business continuity. The system comprises a backup infrastructure that protects incoming documents, which are converted into a secure backup format and stored in an object store, which is content-indexed. The backup format is typically encrypted and access to the object store is controlled by the backup infrastructure, thus ensuring that documents entering the system cannot be lost or irretrievably changed by users. When a workflow in the system needs a document, the backup infrastructure restores it and presents it in its original native document format. The system includes workflows for sweeping in associated information and documents that were created outside the system's workflows, e.g., emails, scans, attachments, etc., which become associated with the original document and which are also stored and protected in the object store.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2020Publication date: December 23, 2021Inventors: David W. Owen, Michael Desmond O'Connor

Patent number: 6455718Abstract: Chloropentafluorobenzene or bromopentafluorobenzene is formed by heating perhalobenzene, C6FnX6-n where n is 0 to 4, and each X is, independently, a chlorine or bromine atom, with alkali metal fluoride, and an aminophosphonium catalyst (e.g., (Et2N)4PBr). The resultant chloropentafluorobenzene or bromopentafluorobenzene can be converted into a pentafluorophenyl Grignard reagent or a pentafluorophenyl alkali metal compound. This in turn can be converted into tris(pentafluorophenylborane), which can be converted into a single coordination complex comprising a labile tetra(pentafluorophenyl)boron anion (e.g., a trialkylammonium tetra(pentafluorophenyl)boron complex or an N,N-dimethylanilinium tetra(pentafluorophenyl)boron complex).Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2001Date of Patent: September 24, 2002Assignee: Albemarle CorporationInventors: David W. Owens, John F. Balhoff

Patent number: 6248265Abstract: Fluoroaryl Grignard reagents are produced from a hydrocarbyl Grignard reagent and fluoroaromatic compounds via separate additions of different fluoroaromatic compounds, such that the conversion of hydrocarbyl Grignard reagent to the desired fluoroaryl Grignard reagent is essentially complete, and thus the reaction product is free or essentially free of agents that may negatively affect subsequent reactions. The fluoroaryl Grignard reagents may be further reacted with boron trihalides in order to obtain tris(fluoroaryl)boranes or tetrakis(fluoroaryl)borates.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2000Date of Patent: June 19, 2001Assignee: Albemarle CorporationInventors: John Y. Lee, David W. Owens, Charles R. Everly, Ronny W. Lin, John M. Power, Steven P. Diefenbach, Niomi L. Krzystowczyk

Patent number: 6129863Abstract: Perfluoroaryl Grignard reagents are produced from a hydrocarbyl Grignard reagent and polyhaloaromatic compounds via separate additions of different polyhaloaromatic compounds, such that the conversion of hydrocarbyl Grignard reagent to the desired perfluoroaryl Grignard reagent is essentially complete, and thus the reaction product is free or essentially free of agents that may negatively affect subsequent reactions. The perfluoroaryl Grignard reagents may be further reacted with boron trihalides in order to obtain tris(perfluoroaryl)boranes or tetrakis(perfluoroaryl)borates.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 1998Date of Patent: October 10, 2000Assignee: Albemarle CorporationInventors: John Y. Patent number: 6084117Abstract: Lithiated haloarenes, although useful as intermediates in the synthesis of various end products, can be hazardous to prepare since unstable, shock sensitive compounds can be formed during lithiation of haloarenes. To avoid this problem, a reaction of a polyhaloarene with a hydrocarbyl lithium compound is conducted in the presence of another reactant so that the lithiated haloarene, if formed at all, exists as a transitory intermediate in low concentration. In this way, transitory lithiated haloarene which may be, and presumably is, formed in the reaction is converted into a non-hazardous functionally-substituted haloarene essentially as soon as such lithiated haloarene is formed. Thus, an arene having a halogen atom of atomic number greater than 9 substituted on at least two non-adjacent carbon atoms is concurrently reacted with a non-fluoro halotrihydrocarbylsilane and a hydrocarbyl lithium compound, in proportions such that a haloarene having at least one trihydrocarbylsilyl ring substituent is formed.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 1999Date of Patent: July 4, 2000Assignee: Albemarle CorporationInventors: Bruce C. Berris, David W. Owens, Rajeev S. Mathur

Patent number: 5783155Abstract: An apparatus periodically samples fluid flowing across a surface by providing a plate for mounting flush with the surface. The plate has an aperture extending there through and a tubular body extends from the around the aperture with a passage in communication with the aperture. A sample collection vessel is removably attached to the body to receive fluid passing through the aperture and the passage. A valve member closes the aperture and moves when driven by an electromechanical device. The electromechanical device operates the valve member to alternately open and close the aperture during a defined sampling time to acquire a plurality of samples of the fluid flowing across the surface.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 1996Date of Patent: July 21, 1998Assignee: Wisconsin Alumni Research FoundationInventors: Leland S. Greenler, Grant R. Emmel, Farshid Feyzi, David W. Owens

Patent number: 5205998Abstract: An apparatus and process for maintaining the purity of solid/granular product and dispensing high purity granular product from a vessel. A noncontaminating surface is provided by a cup, cylinder, or other structure having a surface of silicon, silicon carbide, silicon nitride, sialon, or similar materials and preferably operates as an angle of repose valve in a pressurized system to prevent contamination by undue contact of the high purity product with conventional gastight valves such as ball valves, butterfly valves, pinch valves, etc.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 1992Date of Patent: April 27, 1993Assignee: Ethyl CorporationInventors: James E.
