  • Publication number: 20130255508
Abstract: A convective cooking apparatus is provided. In some embodiments, the convective cooking apparatus includes a lid that provides for a more effective cooking environment through improved heat capture and/or by creating a convective cooker. Waste heat that normally escapes up the side of a pan is captured by an overhang of the lid and redirected back into the pan and onto the food. In some embodiments, the convective cooking lid includes topographical changes on the surface of the lid adjacent to the pan, the topographical changes inducing a turbulent air flow between the pan and the conductive lid.

  • Publication number: 20130003144
Abstract: A hand-held, portable, contact scanner using CCD scanning technology in conjunction with power regulation, noise reduction and image stitching. The scanner uses various movement tracking technologies to determine when the scanner is in contact with a document to be scanned. A dual roller system is used to effectively track motion of a contact scanner 100 across a target document. Alternatively, movement detection is performed by a reflected laser or infra-red (IR) output.
