The device may include a display unit having a continuous display area extending across a first section, a second section, and a transition section of the device, where the transition section is positioned between the first section and the second section. The device may be configured to bend about a hinge positioned at least partially within the transition section.     Abstract: During operation, a system may apply a polarizing field and an excitation sequence to a sample. Then, the system may measure a signal associated with the sample for a time duration that is less than a magnitude of a relaxation time associated with the sample. Next, the system may calculate the relaxation time based on a difference between the measured signal and a predicted signal of the sample, where the predicted signal is based on a forward model, the polarizing field and the excitation sequence. After modifying at least one of the polarizing field and the excitation sequence, the aforementioned operations may be repeated until a magnitude of the difference is less than a convergence criterion. Note that the calculations may be performed concurrently with the measurements and may not involve performing a Fourier transform on the measured signal.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards systems and methods for performing dual domain name system (DNS) lookups to detect whether a request is for a public site versus an intranet site on a private network. A hosted application on a client device on a first network can receive web page content from a second network via a tunnel connection. The hosted application may intercept a request on the client device to access an intranet site on the second network identified by the web page content. An IP address resolution can be performed of a first DNS lookup of sites on the first network and a second DNS lookup can be performed. The hosted application can communicate the request via the tunnel connection to a second device on the second network responsive to determining that the first IP address resolution is different from the second IP address resolution.

    Abstract: During operation, a system may apply an external magnetic field and an RF pulse sequence to a sample. Then, the system may measure at least a component of a magnetization associated with the sample, such as MR signals of one or more types of nuclei in the sample. Moreover, the system may calculate at least a predicted component of the magnetization for voxels associated with the sample based on the measured component of the magnetization, a forward model, the external magnetic field and the RF pulse sequence. Next, the system may solve an inverse problem by iteratively modifying the parameters associated with the voxels in the forward model until a difference between the predicted component of the magnetization and the measured component of the magnetization is less than a predefined value. Note that the calculations may be performed concurrently with the measurements and may not involve performing a Fourier transform.

    Abstract: A route selection method for a vehicular navigation system in which at least two popular routes are identified between an origin and a destination, each of which contains at least one road link. For each identified route, a complex array from time t0 to time tn is formed where t0 represents the departure time from the origin and time tn represents the arrival time at the destination. The altitudes at each time ti form the road components of the complex array while distances at times t0-tn form the imaginary components of the complex array. A power spectral density is then calculated and, for an internal combustion engine vehicle, the power spectral density having diffuse high frequency components is selected as the route and vice versa for a hybrid or all-electric vehicle.

The preferred route, together with data relating to the points of activity, are then wirelessly transmitted to the navigation system for subsequent display on the navigation system screen.

    Abstract: A system and method for displaying traffic information in an automotive navigation system having a display, memory and a data receiver. The method includes the first step of storing in a traffic speed table in memory at least two speed threshold limits wherein each speed threshold limit represents a different traffic flow category. The receiver receives data representative of the vehicle speed on at least one road segment and compares that received vehicle speed data with the traffic speed table to determine the traffic flow category corresponding to the received speed data for the road segment. A visual indicator is then displayed on the display which corresponds to the traffic flow category for the road segment. The user is able to customize the speed threshold limits through a GUI. These speed threshold limits are further user modifiable as a function of weather, day of the week, road conditions, type of road, as well as other factors.
