    Abstract: Fracturing systems with frac valves having gates for controlling flow of fracturing fluid are provided. In one embodiment, a fracturing apparatus includes a frac valve having a housing with a cavity transverse to a bore. A gate is positioned in the cavity and is movable between open and closed positions to selectively block flow through the bore. The gate includes a seal assembly positioned to seal against a sidewall of the cavity to surround the bore and block flow through the frac valve when the gate is in the closed position. The seal assembly can be actuated between a less-energized state and a more-energized state following movement of the gate within the cavity from the open position to the closed position. Additional systems, devices, and methods for fracturing are also disclosed.

The string is secured downhole and the running tool is manipulated to release a lock to hold the hanger in a sealed position in the wellhead prior to a tensile force being applied. A ratchet assembly permits the string to stretch and the tensile force is then locked in. The running tool is rotated out of the string and the tree is installed on the wellhead for subsequent procedures or production.

    Abstract: A full bore support system for a hanger or other equipment in a wellhead features a support groove in the wellhead that can be integrally made or on an insert. A support ring can have a variety of configuration and features an energizing surface and a limit surface that ultimately share the load. The receiving groove is configured to guide the support ring as it expands to minimize bending and distortion. The support ring is recessed and protected until it is actuated outwardly into a supporting position. A high strength low modulus material is preferred to withstand the radial expansion and the applied loads and environmental conditions. Various shapes for the ring are contemplated including a C-ring and a ring made from segments movable with respect to each other.
