  • Publication number: 20240013150
Abstract: An automated sterile compounding dose preparation station is disclosed herein. The preparation station determines availability data based on a current working status and queued dose orders and transmits the availability data to an application server. The preparation station receives, from the application server, an inventory dose order that does not correspond to a patient when the application server determines the automated sterile compounding dose preparation station has availability based on the availability date. The inventory dose order specifies a sterile compounded medication product that is suitable for administration by intravenous introduction to a human. The preparation station prepares an inventory dose corresponding to the inventory dose order, determines an expiration date of the inventory dose, and causes a printer to print a label for the inventory dose. The label indicates that the inventory dose is to be stored and includes information indicative of the expiration date of the inventory dose.

  • Publication number: 20220375581
Abstract: A method for detecting diversion may include identifying an activity pattern associated with a clinician as being an infrequent activity pattern that occurs below a threshold frequency. Whether the infrequent activity pattern corresponds to an anomalous behavior may be determined based at least on one or more data models. The infrequent activity pattern may include a series of transaction records, which may be matched to the reference transaction values included in each of the one or more data models. An investigative workflow may be triggered in response to the infrequent activity pattern being determined to correspond to the anomalous behavior. Related methods and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220277838
Abstract: A method may include receiving a first transaction record indicating a first interaction with a first raw quantity of a first medication and a second transaction record indicating a second interaction with a second raw quantity of a second medication. The first transaction record and the second transaction record may be normalized by generating, based on an equivalent unit, a first normalized quantity of the first medication and a second normalized quantity of the second medication. A machine learning model may be applied to the normalized first transaction record and second transaction record to detect, based on the first transaction record and the second transaction record, an anomalous behavior. An investigative workflow may be triggered in response to the machine learning model detecting the anomalous behavior. Related systems and articles of manufacture, including computer program products, are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10811131
Abstract: A system for use with one or more sources of patient-affiliated data corresponding with a group of patients. The system may contain a plurality of patient interface devices for interfacing with the group of patients. Each patient interface device may store a database that includes information related to each patient of the group of patients. Each patient interface device may be operable to generate a patient-specific guidance data set that may be used by the patient interface device to interface with a patient of the group of patients. The plurality of patient interface devices may be communicatively coupled to patient-affiliated data and a therapy database via a patient interface device gateway. The patient-specific guidance data sets may be automatically updated.

  • Publication number: 20200090124
Abstract: A centralized system and method for preparing and managing medications prepared in anticipation of use for at a remote location. An order processing server receives a patient-specific dose order from a remote site connected to a remote location through a network. A dose preparation station prepares doses in anticipation of use, information about which is stored in a database. The dose preparation stations can be instructed to prepare certain non-patient-specific doses based on the availability of the stations or the patient-specific dose orders received from the remote site. An application server matches any received dose order with one of the prepared inventory doses based on the stored inventory data, and associates the patient-specific dose order with the inventory dose order. The inventory data is managed to reflect the association of the patient-specific dose order with the matched inventory dose, and the association can be stored in the database.

  • Publication number: 20180366215
Abstract: A system for preparing and managing patient-specific dose orders includes an order processing server configured to receive the patient-specific dose orders, define a queue of dose orders and distribute the dose orders to at least one dose preparation station. The dose preparation station is in bi-directional communication with the order processing server and has an interface for providing an operator with a protocol associated with each received drug order and specifying a set of steps to fill the drug order. Steps to fill the drug order are captured at the station and a display, positionable independent of the station outputs the dose order queue and metrics concerning activity at the dose preparation station. Systems for preparing patient-specific doses and a method for telepharmacy in which data captured while following the protocol are provided to a remote site for review and approval by a pharmacist.

  • Patent number: 9668940
Abstract: Computer systems and non-transitory computer readable media for determining an amount of an ingredient for a preparation for a requested therapy (e.g., an order or a prescription) includes an identifier, volume, and amounts of first and second compounds in each of a plurality of premix solutions. A predefined formulary comprising a formulary concentration of each of a plurality of additions is provided. A premix solution is selected. An amount of a first additions to be added to the premix solution may be selected. A number of bags of the premix solution, needed to satisfy a volume associated with the selected premix solution, are optionally reserved.
