Abstract: As a means for effectively dealing with a carpet damage, such as a cigarette burn, a cutting template is provided which produces standardized sized cut-outs. Thus, use of the within template contemplates removing the cigarette burn within a removal cut-out and, in an out-of-the-way area, such as under a furniture piece, obtaining a replacement cut-out which, being of the exact same size and shape is readily inserted in place within the carpet opening previously occupied by the removal cut-out.
