Abstract: An antacid and breath freshening composition comprising a dose effective antacid, and uncomplexed cyclodextrin is provided. The cyclodextrin may be selected from the group containing alpha-cyclodextrin, beta-cyclodextrin, gamma-cyclodextrin, derivatives thereof and mixtures thereof. The composition is used for the concurrent treatment of various gastro-intestinal conditions and treatment of meal induced halitosis. There is further provided a cooling composition which can be used in orally administered compositions containing gastrointestinal actives to provide an additional sensation of relief to the throat and esophagus.

Abstract: In a control rod having a plurality of elongated members for absorbing neutrons within a nuclear reactor to control a nuclear reaction, each elongated member may include a cylindrical inner capsule configured to contain neutron absorbing material therein. Abstract: The subject invention provides a detergent composition comprising an effective amount of a soluble potassium salt, a sodium (C8-C24) alkylsulfate in an amount effective to remove or loosen debris and/or stains from a surface, and a polar surfactant, said surfactant comprising a hydrophobic portion selected from a (C6-C30) alkyl group and a polymeric silicone group, wherein the molar ratio of the surfactant to the sodium (C8-C24) alkylsulfate is greater than or equal to about 1:1. Detergent compositions of the invention include oral compositions for removing and loosening plaque and/or stains from a dental surface and oral compositions for reducing dental nerve and/or dentin sensitivity.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a family of unique antimycotic lipopeptide compounds produced by Pseudomonas viridiflava. The lipopeptides are effective against both human and plant fungal pathogens, and are typically characterized by their ability to inhibit growth of Candida albicans. Representative lipopeptides of the invention have molecular weights of 1137, 1153, 1164 and 1181 daltons.

Abstract: A grill includes a lower portion and an upper platen pivotably attached to the lower portion each having a grilling surface. An adjustment mechanism adjusts a dimension of the gap between the grilling surfaces between a large dimension and a small dimension. The adjustment mechanism includes a rotatable bar having a handle and a cam surface. The upper grilling surface is suspended by two cables. The cam surface is received between arms rotates the bar to move the position of the cam surface relative to the arms to adjust the gap between the grilling surfaces. This lengthens or shortens the cables to move the suspended upper grilling surface to adjust the gap between the grilling surfaces.

Abstract: A grill includes a lower portion and a pivotably attached upper platen each having a grilling surface. A lift/latch mechanism lifts the upper platen relative to the lower portion without the use of a motor. The upper platen can be manually lifted by grabbing the handle. An arm is pivotably attached to an upper pivotable portion at an upper pivot and is pivotably attached to a lower pivotable portion at a lower pivot. When the upper platen is lifted, a heavy resilient member biases the upper platen to a raised position. When the upper platen is lowered, a light resilient member bias the upper platen to a lowered position. When a solenoid is actuated, projection engages the arm to move the arm and lift the upper platen.

Abstract: An oral rinse, dentifrice, or oral gel composition comprising: a) about 0.01 weight % to about 5 weight % of a citrus flavor, citrus flavor ingredient, or mixtures thereof; b) about 0.01 weight % to about 5 weight % of a phenolic, said phenolic selected from the group consisting of menthol, eucalyptol, methyl salicylate, thymol, triclosan, and mixtures thereof; and c) an orally acceptable carrier. The claimed composition is useful in retarding the development of plaque, treating gingivitis, and reducing the viable population of micro-organisms in the oral cavity of a mammal.
