  • Patent number: 9631978
Abstract: In the method of hair color consultation, actual individual images of a person are continuously recorded by a video camera and are input into a computer in a continuous sequence in real time. Automatic image editing and processing is carried out in real time, in which the computer continuously marks hair regions of the individual images by an automatic analysis of close and similar pixel color values, of contiguous texture, and/or of contiguous morphological properties, and changes hair color of the hair regions according to predetermined specifications. Then the modified individual images with the changed hair color are displayed on the at least one screen and/or touch screen in real time so that the desired hair color may be selected. An apparatus for performing the method is also described.

  • Publication number: 20060140892
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for achieving a recallable hair deformation. A composition is applied onto hair, comprising at least one active agent, which, alone or in combination with further compounds, is able, after application to the hair and after carrying out the treatment of hair in accordance with the present invention, to provide a shape memory effect. The hair is brought into a defined (permanent) shape and the permanent shape is subsequently fixed by means of inducing a chemical or physical change of the applied agents, wherein after a desired or undesired deformation, the memory shape of the initial memory shape may be recovered by means of a physical stimulation. Suitable active agents are for example macromers which may be cross-linked to provide shape memory polymers, wherein the permanent shape is fixed by means of the chemical cross-linking of the macromer, providing a shape memory polymer, which possesses at least one transition temperature Ttrans.

  • Publication number: 20060088494
Abstract: A method for the provision of a recallable hair transformation using shape-memory polymers is disclosed. In this respect a composition which comprises a macromer or prepolymer which is cross-linkable to a shape-memory polymer is applied onto the hair and the hair is brought into a defined (permanent) shape and subsequently the permanent shape is fixed by means of the chemical cross-linking of the macromer or prepolymer under formation of the shape-memory polymer. The macromer or prepolymer contains segments which are cross-linkable by means of chemical bonds as well as thermoplastic segments which are not chemically cross-linkable. The shape-memory polymers do possess at least one transition temperature TTrans. In addition to the permanent shape of a hairdo a second (temporary) shape can be impressed.

  • Patent number: 6176166
Abstract: The electric haircutting machine includes an electrical drive motor, cutting blades driven by the drive motor, a device (22) for oiling the cutting blades and a device (20) for detecting an oil deficiency of the oil lubricating the cutting blades. The device (22) for oiling the cutting blades is connected with and responsive to the device (20) for detecting the oil deficiency, whereby the device for oiling the cutting blades is automatically activated to oil the cutting blades when the oil deficiency is detected. The device for detecting the oil deficiency detects whether or not motor current consumption, cutting blade vibration noise, haircutting machine sound level, cutting blade temperature, force acting on one of the cutting blades or drive motor rotation speed exceeds a corresponding predetermined threshold or not in order to establish the presence or absence of the oil deficiency.

  • Patent number: 5970831
Abstract: The method for detecting an oil deficiency of oil lubricating a driven cutting blade of a haircutting machine includes measuring either drive motor current consumption, cutting blade vibration noise, haircutting machine sound level, cutting blade temperature, a force acting on one of the cutting blades or drive motor rotation speed and determining whether or not the oil deficiency has occurred from a change of the chosen measured variable from a standard value occurring during normal operation without the oil deficiency. The electrical haircutting machine includes an electric drive motor, cutting blades driven by the drive motor and a device (20) for detecting the oil deficiency which advantageously includes a device for measuring one of the above-mentioned measurement variables and also a comparator for comparing the measured variable with a predetermined temperature-dependent threshold value to determine whether the oil deficiency has occurred or not.
