  • Publication number: 20240306096
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control message indicating multiple power states, where each power state of the multiple power states may be associated with a configuration of the UE. Additionally, the UE may transition from a first power state of the multiple power states to a second power state of the multiple power states based on a condition being satisfied. In such cases, a first configuration of the UE associated with the first power state may be different than a second configuration of the UE associated with the second power state.

  • Publication number: 20240298324
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The techniques described herein relate to enhancements to physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring and skipping. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a network entity, a control message including a control channel skipping indication or a switching indication. The control channel skipping indication or the switching indication is associated with an application delay time duration that indicates a beginning of a control channel skipping or search space set group (SSSG) switching time duration. The UE adjusts an ending time of the application delay time duration based on feedback of whether a message was successfully received via a data channel. The UE skips monitoring of control channel occasions or transitioning from a first SSSG, beginning at the adjusted ending time of the application delay time duration.

  • Publication number: 20240291543
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a control message scheduling a burst of downlink messages. The control message may indicate first and second pluralities of transmission configuration indicators associated with first and second downlink shared channels, respectively. The UE may monitor for a first and second downlink messages in the first downlink shared channel and the second downlink shared channel, using first and second transmission configuration indicators, respectively. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may receive a control message scheduling a burst of uplink messages. The single control message may indicate to apply a first precoding matrix for transmission of the uplink messages. The UE may precode, using a second precoding matrix, an uplink message to generate a precoded first uplink message. The UE may transmit the precoded uplink message in a first uplink shared channel.

  • Publication number: 20240292340
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Some aspects relate generally to power sharing for unused uplink occasions. Some aspects more specifically relate to adjusting dynamic transmit power sharing between a master cell group (MCG) and a secondary cell group (SCG) for an unused uplink occasion that is reported by a user equipment (UE). The UE may transmit an uplink communication (for example, that overlaps in the time domain with the unused uplink occasion) using a transmit power that is determined using the adjusted dynamic transmit power sharing. The UE may allocate at least a portion of a reserved transmit power associated with the unused uplink occasion to the transmit power of the uplink communication. For the transmit power determination of the uplink communication, the UE may assume that the unused uplink occasion is not present (for example, is not transmitted) in the MCG.

  • Publication number: 20240284206
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a network may support different network energy states (NESs). A network entity may transmit, for a user equipment (UE), an indication of a currently active NES, for example, for a serving cell or for a non-serving cell. The UE may determine a radio measurement threshold, a relaxation configuration, or both based on the active NES for the network entity. A network entity associated with the serving cell or non-serving cell may transmit a synchronization signal block (SSB) using one or more parameters associated with the active NES, and the UE may receive the SSB and perform one or more measurements based on the active NES (e.g., based on the radio measurement threshold, the relaxation configuration, or both). The UE may communicate with the network based on the one or more measurements.

  • Publication number: 20240284329
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a network entity to indicate one or more wake-up radio (WUR) configurations to a user equipment (UE), which may communicate a desired WUR configuration with the network entity. The UE may indicate a request for the desired WUR configuration, may multiplex the request with another signal associated with the UE, or both. Additionally, or alternatively, the network entity may indicate a single WUR configuration to the UE, which may be determined according to desired configurations, a class of WUR, or both associated with a group of UEs including the UE. Such techniques may support a reduced overall power expenditure of the UE by improving WUR operation.

  • Publication number: 20240276488
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support transmission of a skipping indication signaling that a wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), is to skip uplink transmitting via a resource occasion associated with a configured grant. For example, the UE may receive a first control signal indicating a configured grant (CG) associated with multiple first resource occasions of an uplink shared channel. Additionally, the UE may receive a second control message indicating one or more second resource occasions of an uplink control channel associated with transmitting a skipping indication for the CG. As such, the UE may transmit, via the one or more second resource occasions, the skipping indication for the CG. The skipping indication may signal that the UE is to skip uplink transmitting via at least a portion of the multiple first resource occasions.
