  • Patent number: 5437465
Abstract: A spindle sleeve (4) is provided for the rotary operation in a tool changing device on a hand-operated machine tool, especially a drill hammer for optional operation with a hammer drill or with another tool. To make rapid tool change possible with a simple design, a locking body (7), which co-rotates with the spindle sleeve (4), is mounted in at least one perforation (6) of the spindle sleeve (4). An adapter (14), on which the corresponding tool can be fixed, can be axially inserted into the spindle sleeve (4) with a guide surface (22, 23), and has depressions (13) for the locking bodies (7) for nonrotatable and axially nondisplaceable connection to the spindle sleeve (4). An outer sleeve (8), which blocks the locking bodies (7) in the depressions (13) in a locking position and radially releases them in its release position, is displaceably arranged on the spindle sleeve (4).

  • Patent number: 5055279
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the reduction of emissions of sulphur dioxide and/or of oxides of nitrogen in the case of combustion processes by the addition of hydrated calcium cyanamide, wherein hydrated particles of calcium cyanamide enveloped with a hydrate mantle are blown from a mixing nozzle into the combustion chamber, with the help of a carrier medium comprising air, water and water vapor, in the form of a droplet-powder fluidized bed.

  • Patent number: 4384337
Abstract: To avoid edge effects and local variations of differences in transducers across zones of material to be printed from which print control signals are to be derived, for example to control the localized or zone adjustment positions of a flexible doctor blade with respect to an ink ductor roller in an offset printing machine, a first standard sample providing, for example, white signals, is first scanned, then a standard sample, providing for example totally inked zones, is scanned, and then the actual printing sample.

  • Patent number: 4381708
Abstract: A device for adjusting a doctor blade of a printing machine comprising an inking roller facing the doctor blade and adapted to be spaced therefrom by a gap to establish a predetermined ink thickness on the inking roller. Sensors are coupled to the doctor blade for determining the spacing between the inking roller and the doctor blade. Servomotors are coupled to the doctor blade to adjust the position of the doctor blade thereby to adjust the size of the gap. A microcomputer receives signals from the sensors to compare signals from the sensors with the desired gap according to given values of ink thickness and for sending signals to the servomotors to adjust the doctor blade so that the actual distance and the desired distance correspond. The microcomputer also receives the signals from the sensors in non-adjusted state when the inking roller is in contact with the doctor blade to establish this as the zero position of the doctor blade.

  • Patent number: 4334718
Abstract: A coupling bearing for rotors running above critical speed, in which the bearing encloses the rotor and is connected and disconnected depending on radial rotor movements. A gap is provided between the coupling bearing and the rotor, and this gap has a predetermined space width which is at least as large as the maximum amplitude of the rotor in the nominal operating range. A starting bushing permits brief sliding of contacting surfaces, and is made of a highly wear-resistant and self-lubricating material of low heat conductivity. The starting bushing, furthermore is ball bearing mounted. The coupling bearing is in the form of a ball bearing connected with a damping device, and the inner race of the ball bearing seats the starting bushing. The inner race and the balls of the bearing are made of material of low specific gravity, high heat conductivity and high temperature resistance.

  • Patent number: 4324440
Abstract: A containing bearing for supercritical rotors surrounding the rotor and operating to stabilize the rotor in the presence of radial rotor vibrations. A gap is present between the containing bearing and the rotor and is of a size equal to or larger than the maximum amplitude of vibration of the rotor in normal operation. An outer race of the containing bearing is supported by an oblong, resilient sleeve which extends coaxially to and in extension of the rotor which at its far end is fixed to prevent rotation.
