  • Publication number: 20100072368
Abstract: A spectral measuring system for determining substance properties using terahertz radiation comprises: one or more radiation sources of which at least one radiation source is adjustable or configurable with regard to its wavelength, wherein the first radiation source emits first radiation at a predetermined first wavelength; and is characterised by a sensor which responds to further radiation which is based on the radiation of the at least one radiation source; a control unit which is connected to the at least one radiation source and the sensor; wherein the control unit is configured to trigger at least one radiation source and to adjust the wavelength of the at least one adjustable radiation source as well as to read out the sensor.

  • Patent number: 6894610
Abstract: A monitoring and warning system for firefighters and other people exposed to similar hazards includes mutiple monitoring, warning and control devices (1, 9 through 16) and a telemetric module (17) for transmitting information data to a base station and for receiving commands. All units of the system are connected seperately to a common—open-type or closed-type—bus (8) and configured either for master-slave or for master-master operation. The system operates on simple and efficient connections, more units can be added easily, it is fast and faultless and can also be used in areas subject to explosion hazards.

  • Publication number: 20040135693
Abstract: A monitoring and warning system for firefighters and individuals exposed to similar risks comprises a number of monitoring, warning and control devices (1, 9 to 16) as well as a telemetry module (17) for transmitting information to a base station and for receiving commands. All units of the system are connected in a galvanic or galvanically separated manner to a shared open or closed bus (8) and, in fact, are used either for master/master operation or for master/slave operation. The system functions rapidly and in a noise-free manner while having a low level of complexity with regard to connections and being able to be easily retrofitted with additional units, and can also be used in potentially explosive areas.

  • Patent number: 6429165
Abstract: A polymer-bonded granular adsorptive, absorptive, chemisorptive, or catalytically active material and a process for producing molded bodies from this material. An objective was to develop a polymer-bonded granular adsorptive, absorptive, chemisorptive, or catalytically active material which is capable of forming an open-pore and sorptive foamed body at increased temperatures while not reducing the specific surface of the active material and with a binding effect only during the mixing and processing phases, as well as a process for producing molded bodies from this material. This objective was met by mixing and processing an adsorptive, absorptive, chemisorptive, or catalytically active fine-grained material together with a finely particulate, meltable polyethylene with the addition of a binding agent having an oligocondensate basis.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 27, 1999
Date of Patent: August 6, 2002
    Assignee: Auergesellschaft GmbH
Inventors: Rudolf Nastke, Gerald Rafler, Helmut Remde, Thomas Krugerke, Gabriele Stadermann, Jannett Kohls, Martin Kurth, Dieter Lubkoll
