  • Publication number: 20050123350
Abstract: The disclosure describes a rear-loader road milling machine with a milling roll, which is arranged in a roller housing open on the bottom, whereby an opening between a front part of the roller housing and a road surface, facing in a direction of travel a, can be closed with a sealing device, the height of which can be altered. The sealing device can be pivoted around an axis in the direction of travel in front of the milling roll for the purpose of adjusting the height of the sealing device. As a result of the pivotability of the sealing device on an axis, which is arranged in the direction of travel in front of the milling roll, it becomes possible to pull the sealing device slidingly above the road surface so that it follows the unevennesses, for example, the waviness of the road surface or existing milling tracks, following these unevennesses by pivoting frontward and backwards. Interruption or even blocking of the advance by jamming is excluded in this way.

  • Patent number: 5683144
Abstract: A cylindrical cutting element for a cutting machine which includes base ps arranged at a uniform distance from each other. A chisel holder which receives an exchangeable chisel is secured with respect to each base element. The chisel holder has a plug connector which allows the chisel holder to be inserted into a plug receiver of the base element, where it is held by a pressure screw on the base part that grips the plug connector. To relieve the plug connector from the forces acting on the chisel, the base part has a projection which extends in an approximately parallel direction to the running direction of the cutting element and a stop that follows the projection in the running direction and forms an angle therewith. The stop limits the insertion of the chisel holder into the base element and absorbs forces transmitted through the chisel to the chisel holder.

  • Patent number: 5573308
Abstract: A cylindrical cutting element for a coal cutting machine with a reamer-conveyor worm or reamer spiral for a coal cutting, disposed projecting at a distance from the surface of the cutting element and comprising base elements attached at uniform distances. A chisel holder with an exchangeable chisel is connected to each base element. The chisel holder is inserted with its plug-in connector into a socket of the base element and is maintained therein by a pressure screw. A time-saving assembly of a cutting element, wherein the base elements can be positioned on and fastened to the surface of the cutting element in a simple manner is attained where receiver pockets are cut along the reamer-conveyor worm or reamer spiral at uniform distances into the surface of the cutting element, the undersides of the base elements end in a base whose cross section is matched to the receiver pockets, and the base elements are introduced, positioned by the base, into a receiver pocket and are fixedly connected thereto.

  • Patent number: 5094262
Abstract: A regulator with a hysteresis-affected characteristic curve has a manually operable actuating element for presetting a desired control variable, an axially displaceable control slide for adjusting the preset control variable and a control incline which is coupled to the actuating element. The control incline converts, by means of a rising control face, the adjustment movement of the actuating element into a axial displacement of the control slide. For the purpose of compensating the hysteresis when adjusting a control a variable such that the same control variable is brought about by rotating the actuating element to the left or to the right into the same setting, the control incline bears a toothing along its control face. Each tooth has, in two planes which extend along the displacement direction of the control face and are perpendicular to one another, a sawtooth-like contour with in each case a rising edge for running up the control slide and a falling edge which follows in the displacement direction.
