Abstract: Technology is disclosed to programmatically determine and generate, for a target communication item, a contextual title that is relevant to a user, optimally formatted for ease of indexing and use by certain software applications, and easy for the user to consume. The contextual title is generated based on a comparison of the target communication item and related communication items. In this manner, the contextual title generated for the target communication item is different from existing contextual titles of the related communication items, yet related enough to associate the target communication item to certain related communication items. In this manner, contextual titles are generated without a user having to open or edit metadata associated with the communication item, thereby conserving bandwidth associated with a user engaging with high-bandwidth content from the target communication item and battery associated with consuming and editing the document.

Abstract: Technology is disclosed for programmatically providing structured and personalized meeting content that both (1) summarizes aspects of a meeting recording and (2) is used to navigate to a section of the meeting recording. To do so, the disclosure provides technologies to determine sections of the meeting recording. For each section of the meeting recording, a section representation and a meeting structure for presenting the section representation are determined. The section representation includes an image and a text summary of the corresponding section of the meeting recording. Additionally, the disclosure provides technologies to automatically generate a personalized navigable meeting recording (PNMR) user interface (UI) based on the meeting structure, the PNMR UI comprising an indication of each section based on the section representation. Selection of a section representation causes playback of the meeting recording to change to the section associated with the section representation.

Abstract: Technology is disclosed to programmatically generate a briefing message that is relevant, optimally-sized, and easy for a user to consume. The briefing message is generated with target briefing items organized based on a user-specific headline and user-specific body of the briefing message. The briefing message is generated based on a determination, from candidate briefing items and corresponding scores, of at least one target briefing item to be included in the body and the headline of a briefing message. In this manner, such technologies improve the user's experience and reduce computational resources and bandwidth associated with a larger volume of content being generated and communicated to a user for presentation, especially during times of high user computer traffic. The briefing content items are generated during times of the day with lower user activity and less computational resource consumption.

Abstract: In some implementations, a method includes extracting completion criteria of an action item and parameters of the completion criteria from a message portion of a user message between users. In response to determining, from sensor data provided by one or more sensors associated with a user, the user practices a routine; a routine-related aspect is generated from a user routine model of the user for the routine. In is inferred at least one of the extracted completion criteria of the action item is unsatisfied based on the extracted parameters and the identified routine-related aspect. Based on the inferring, a notification is provided to at least one user associated with the action item.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to computing technology for programmatically sanitizing unwanted content that is shared in a meeting. The unwanted content may be sanitized in real-time and in a meeting presentation. In an implementation, the unwanted content is detected, and a determining a sensitivity mitigation action is determined for the unwanted content. The sensitivity mitigation action is applied to generate a modified presentation of a live meeting presentation such that aspects of the unwanted content are removed. A graphical user interface (GUI) tool is disclosed to enable users to control application of a sensitivity mitigation action. In this manner, embodiments disclosed herein facilitate complying with a privacy policy.

The information may comprise messages, notifications, or other information determined to be relevant to the user, and may be timely provided to the user in an appropriate format such that the user is better able to respond to the information. A set of venues that are relevant to the user and corresponding information sources associated with the venue are determined. Information published by these sources may be analyzed for relevance to the user, and the relevant information items may be provided to the user via notifications or applications and services. Further, the notifications may be scheduled for presentation to the user at appropriate times, such as prior to a predicted visit of the venue. One embodiment includes a venue-information clearinghouse for receiving information from venues and making it available for user applications or services.

An automated task to be performed on behalf of a user is determined from at least one user message provided to a user interface of a first bot. A second bot is determined that is capable of performing the automated task on behalf of the user. User information of the user to provide to the second bot for the performing of the automated task is determined. Content of the user information is based on a trust level of the second bot and service parameters for completing the automated task. The first bot provides the determined user information to the second bot using one or more network communications.

Abstract: Technology for interoperability is disclosed by enabling the sharing of application state data for an application experience across computing devices, operating systems, applications, or locations. In one aspect, a secondary application shares encrypted state data along with a non-encrypted hint that describes the application experience reflected in the state data with a primary application. The primary application is then able to use the hint to determine that a user is interested in returning to the experience in the secondary application. The primary application then transfers the encrypted state data to the secondary application, which uses the state data to return the application to the application experience. A platform and an application programming interface (API) are provided for computer applications and services to store and retrieve application state data associated with an event.

The user-visit-characterized venue profile may be provided to an application or service such as a personal assistant service associated with the user, or may be provided as an API to facilitate consumption of the user-visit-characterized venue profile by an application or service.

Abstract: A user activity pattern may be ascertained using signal data from a set of computing devices. The activity pattern may be used to infer user intent with regards to a user interaction with a computing device or to predict a likely future action by the user. In one implementation, a set of computing devices is monitored to detect user activities using sensors associated with the computing devices. Activity features associated with the detected user activities are determined and used to identify an activity pattern based on a plurality of user activities having similar features. Examples of user activity patterns may include patterns based on time, location, content, or other context. The inferred user intent or predicted future actions may be used to provide improved user experiences, such as personalization, modifying functionality of user devices, or providing more efficient consumption of bandwidth or power.
