  • Patent number: 5451337
Abstract: Dye transfer inhibiting systems are disclosed, comprising an enzyme exhibiting peroxidase activity, a hydrogen peroxide source, an additional oxidizable substrate, and a accelerator preferably having the formula ##STR1## wherein X is S or O and R.sub.1 is --CH.sub.3, --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.3, --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 NH.sub.2, or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 COOHDetergent compositions containing the dye transfer inhibition system and typical detergent ingredients are also disclosed. More effective and efficient dye transer inhibition of fugitive dyes is achieved by using the dye transfer inhibition system as an detergent additive or in a detergent composition matrix.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 31, 1994
Date of Patent: September 19, 1995
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Co.
Inventors: Don K. K. Liu, Andre C. Convents
  • Patent number: 5445755
Abstract: Dye transfer inhibiting systems are disclosed, comprising an enzyme exhibiting peroxidase activity, a hydrogen peroxide source, an additional oxidizable substrate, and an accelerator preferably having the formula ##STR1## Detergent compositions free of linear alkylbenzenesulfonate containing the dye transfer inhibition system and typical detergent ingredients are also disclosed. More effective and efficient dye transfer inhibition of fugitive dyes is achieved by using the dye transfer inhibition system as a detergent additive or in a detergent composition matrix free of linear alkylbenzenesulfonate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 31, 1994
Date of Patent: August 29, 1995
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Company
Inventors: Andre C. Convents, Alfred Busch, Isabelle M. C. De Groote, Don K. K. Liu
  • Patent number: 4490271
Abstract: Detergent compositions comprising a mixture of polyethylene glycol and polyacrylate of specified molecular weight are disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 30, 1983
Date of Patent: December 25, 1984
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Company
Inventors: Gianfranco L. Spadini, Antoinette L. Larrabee, Don K. K. Liu
  • Patent number: 4344871
Abstract: Detergent compositions containing water-insoluble aluminosilicate ion exchange materials, organic surface active agents, sodium silicate having an SiO.sub.2 :alkali metal oxide weight ratio of from about 0.8:1 to 2.3:1, and an alkali metal metaborate. The compositions are produced by drying an aqueous slurry. The resulting compositions are effective laundry detergent in the form of crisp, free-flowing granules which are highly soluble when made and which maintain their solubility on aging.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 23, 1981
Date of Patent: August 17, 1982
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Company
