  • Patent number: 10693230
Abstract: Directional transmission in a mobile ad-hoc network includes receiving position data for peer nodes in the network. When transmitting a data packet to a peer node, the position of the peer node is determined with reference to a position database. An electronically steerable antenna is focused to transmit to the position and the packet is transmitted. The electronically steerable antenna is then placed in an omnidirectional mode to receive packet transmissions.

  • Patent number: 10389395
Abstract: Active filters that may be utilized in various types of radio devices (e.g., receivers and/or transmitters) are disclosed. In some implementations, high dynamic range mixers implementing a polyphase multipath approach may be utilized in the active filters. Such mixers may satisfy the high dynamic range and image suppression requirements when they are configured for radio frequency applications.

  • Patent number: 8498614
Abstract: A wireless transmission security apparatus includes a wireless device (WD) adaptor, wherein the WD adaptor is configured to contain a portion of radio frequency (RF) radiation emanating from an antenna of an associated wireless communication device, wherein the WD adaptor is selectively communicatively couplable to the wireless communication device at a selected antenna coupling point of the wireless communication device, and a base transceiver station (BTS) adaptor, wherein the WD adaptor and the BTS adaptor are communicatively coupled via uplink and downlink signals, wherein the frequency of the uplink signal is different from a frequency of a native RF uplink signal emanating from the wireless communication device and the downlink signal is different from a frequency of a native RF downlink signal emanating from the BTS.

  • Patent number: 7639178
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for detecting devices with receivers, such as explosive devices with receivers used to remotely detonate the explosive devices. The system for detecting devices may include a transmitter which transmits a signal causing saturation of a device whereby harmonic content is emitted by the device. Receipt of an emitted harmonic signal which is coherent to the transmitted signal may indicate the presence of a device. A distance between the system and the detected device may be determined by modulating a frequency of the transmitted signal and measuring the time period between transmission of the signal and receipt of a harmonic signal. Additionally, direction information may be determined which may allow identification of a location of the device based upon the distance information and direction information.
