  • Patent number: 4985223
Abstract: There is provided an aluminum-containing aluminosilicate zeolite corresponding to the substantially aluminum free silicate zeolite described in the Hinnenkamp et al U.S. Pat. No. 4,376,757. Also provided are methods for making this aluminosilicate zeolite and methods for the catalytic conversion of organic charges to desired products with this aluminosilicate zeolite.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 17, 1984
Date of Patent: January 15, 1991
    Assignee: Mobil Oil Corporation

  • Patent number: 4919790
Abstract: A method for hydrocarbon dewaxing which utilizes a reactivated acidic zeolite catalyst deactivated from MTG processing is disclosed. The deactivated MTG catalyst is contacted with a reactivation-effective amount of an alkali metal carbonate and/or an alkaline earth metal carbonate to reactivate the catalyst. The catalyst is, thereafter, converted to the catalytically active form. The catalyst is then steamed at a temperature and for a time period sufficient to reduce its alpha value to a level which is substantially equal to that of a fresh hydrocarbon dewaxing acidic zeolite catalyst. The reactivated catalyst is than used for catalyzing hydrocarbon dewaxing processes.

  • Patent number: 4849194
Abstract: The crystallization of a crystalline silicate product from an crystallization mixture is monitored by measuring the specific electrical conductivity of the mixture. The crystallization of metallosilicates, such as aluminosilicate zeolites, may be monitored in this way. Measurement of the electrical conductivity of the crystallization mixture may be carried out on line in a batch or continuous crystallization process. In a continuous process the conductivity may be monitored and used to control the crystallization process parameters in order to achieve a desired degree of crystallinity in the product.

  • Patent number: 4686313
Abstract: Synthesis gas (a mixture of hydrogen gas and carbon monoxide) is converted to hydrocarbons by flowing the gas first over iron-containing Fischer-Tropsch catalyst and then over a zeolite. The Fischer-Tropsch catalyst contains relatively little nitrogen as a result of its preparation by continuous precipitation at a pH ranging from about 6.6 to 6.9 and a temperature ranging from about 80.degree. to about 100.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4650656
Abstract: Large crystal aluminosilicate zeolites of the ZSM-5 type, as crystallized having at least one crystalline dimension in excess of about 1 micron are prepared by introducing an alkyl ammonium compound or its precursor into the crystallization mixture under high agitation and controlled conditions of concentration and temperature.

  • Patent number: 4597230
Abstract: The invention comprises a log wall enclosure having a plurality of walls with each wall comprising a plurality of logs in rows one above the other to form the wall with the logs stacked laterally of the length of the wall. Concrete masonry material is placed between the logs. The walls extend toward one another to form a corner and an L-shaped plate extends along the outer surfaces of the walls where the walls connect to form the corner. The L-shaped plate supports the corner and has strips extending from the plate into the walls to fix the plate to the walls.

  • Patent number: 4049737
Abstract: Propylation of toluene with selective production of cymene is accomplished by vapor phase reaction of toluene and propylene at a temperature between about 400.degree. and about 600.degree. F. in the presence of a catalyst comprising a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite, said zeolite having a silica to alumina ratio of at least about 12 and a constraint index, as hereinafter defined, within the approximate range of 1 to 12.
