  • Patent number: 7001357
Abstract: A device for feeding a young child without the threat of choking, this device comprising a handle member in combination with an elongate food-receiving mesh container having an aperture in one end thereof. A ring component too large to swallow is mounted in the aperture. One end of the handle member has a circularly disposed sealing surface, and having a securing member around its adjacent exterior surface. A closure ring having a securing member around its interior surface is able to interfit with the securing member of the handle end. The closure ring has a central aperture of a size to closely receive the container, but not permitting the passage of the ring component. When the closure ring has been tightened upon the handle end, the ring component will tightly engage the circularly disposed sealing surface on the handle, holding the container in an operative position.

  • Patent number: 6524272
Abstract: A device for feeding a young child or impaired adult without the threat of the person choking, this device comprising a handle member in combination with an elongate food dispensing container of mesh material, with the end of the container having an aperture permitting semi-solid food to be inserted therein. An end of the handle member has external threads, and an internally threaded ring is utilized in cooperation therewith. One of the embodiments of this invention involves the internally threaded ring being a part of a ring assembly constituted by inseparable inner and outer interlocking ring portions, with the part of the food dispensing container locked tightly therebetween, whereas another embodiment involves a rigid ring permanently secured in the end of the food dispensing container.

  • Patent number: 5364348
Abstract: A device for feeding a young child or impaired adult without the threat of the person choking, my device comprising a handle member in combination with a food dispensing member. The handle member has a generally circularly configured end thereon, upon which circular end, a ring mounting arrangement is provided. A ring having a circularly-shaped aperture therein is utilized with the handle member, with an inner surface of the ring being equipped with a component for tightly engaging the ring mounting arrangement. The component inside the ring for engaging the ring mounting arrangement is configured to operably engage the circular end of the handle member. The food dispensing member is an elongate container of fine mesh material having an aperture therein through which solid or semi-solid food can be inserted, with such food intended to at least partially dissolve in the mouth of the person being fed.
