  • Publication number: 20230336916
Abstract: Apparatuses for playing signals received from the internet or other information highway or a stored database on one or more speakers are described. The apparatus has a receiver for receiving information from preselected addresses; a processor for interpreting the signals; and a headset with at least one speaker for playing signals from the internet. There is at least display device in the headset in the form of a holographic projector connected to the receiver for displaying a 3D holographic image received from the internet. The processor selects images that correspond with the signals played by the speaker. The speaker projects the sound so that it appears that the sound is coming from a place other than the actual speaker itself. A holographic projector connected to the processor projects a 3D holographic image onto the place from which the sound appears to originate, rather than on the actual speaker itself.

  • Publication number: 20230320563
Abstract: A device and method for treating disease involves inserting a scope into a patient’s body, the scope having a light source, a camera and a cartridge connected thereto. The cartridge has two chambers separated by membrane, a first one of the chambers containing a virus, and a second one of the chambers being connected to a plurality of microneedles configured for extending into the patient’s tissue upon insertion of the scope. Cells from the patient are removed via suction from the microneedles and are deposited in the second chambers. The membrane is then broken to mix the virus with the cells to infect the cells, and the infected cells are then transported back into the patient to treat the disease while some cells are removed and stored separately for later use.

  • Patent number: 11696073
Abstract: A system and method for conducting a refractive examination of an eye of a patient, has a communication device with a communication module that connects to the internet, a processor that is programmed to connect to a remote computer via the communication module and which has a display screen, a microphone and a speaker. The remote computer has a data storage device that stores images of eye charts. The communication device is mounted in a virtual reality headset configured to be worn by the patient and has at least one screen through which the display screen of the communication device is viewable. The communication device displays images in the form of the eye charts to the patient, who communicates through the communication to a remote examiner who conducts the refractive examination using multiple different eye charts to determine the prescription of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20220409766
Abstract: A face mask is connected via a tube to a housing containing an ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diode (LED) in a channel. A power source is connected to the UV LED. The channel is helical in shape and has undulations, so as to maximize the amount time the air is subjected to the UV radiation. The housing rear face has a fins to allow the heat from the LEDs to dissipate through the fins during use. This arrangement protects the user and others from excessive UV exposure and heat during use.

  • Patent number: 11419770
Abstract: A bandage is formed of a film layer, an adhesive applied to the film layer, and an absorbent layer connected to the film layer. The absorbent layer comprises a compressed fabric soaked in a fluid. A permeable membrane is disposed over the absorbent layer and creates an electrical charge when fluid from the absorbent layer passes through the membrane. The electricity generated by the osmosis flows to a plurality of light emitting diodes that are connected to the membrane through a battery. The LEDs emit UV light to disinfect a wound when a bandage is applied to the wound.

  • Publication number: 20220142505
Abstract: Systems and methods of determining spinal column and or leg length abnormalities includes taking digital photographs of multiple data points along the length of the person's spine and legs, and sending the photographs to a computer with a processor programmed with software that analyzes the photographs to determine leg length and spinal column length and spinal column curvature. The data regarding the leg length and curvature is sent to a medical professional for diagnosis and treatment of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20220125985
Abstract: A face mask has an ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diode (LED) mounted in a respiration tube that extends through an outer shell of the mask. A power source is connected to the UV LED. The respiration tube is serpentine in shape so as to maximize the amount time the air is subjected to the UV radiation. The movement of the air as well as additional heat sinks in the tube reduce the amount of heat radiating from the LEDs during use. This arrangement protects the user and others from excessive UV exposure and heat during use.

  • Publication number: 20220126131
Abstract: A sanitizing device has a housing having a central aperture and an ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diode (LED) assembly mounted in the housing. The UV LED assembly is formed of a plurality of connected UV LEDs arranged circumferentially around the central aperture so as to project UV light into the aperture. A power source is connected to the UV LED assembly to supply power to the assembly. The housing is configured with overhanging front and rear faces, so that the UV LED assembly is recessed within the housing and is not visible when viewing the housing directly from the front or rear. This arrangement protects the user and others from excessive UV exposure during use. The sanitizing device is configured for attachment to a face mask so that the inhalations and exhalations of the wearer pass through the sanitizing device when the mask is worn.

  • Patent number: 11259951
Abstract: Systems and methods of measuring feet and designing and creating orthopedic inserts are described. A leg length discrepancy of a user is measured and this data, along with foot size are input into a computer. The computer then creates a computer model of a custom shoe insert based on this information. The computer model is then sent to a 3D printer to print the insert. The insert consists of a base insert with partial correction, and several additional layers that are added successively over time until a full correction is obtained. This eliminates any pain associated with a fully corrective insert, and allows the body to adjust gradually to the correction.

  • Publication number: 20200268706
Abstract: A composition of furosemide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate, or physiologically functional derivative thereof is combined with a steroid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate, or physiologically functional derivative thereof, to provide a topical medication for nasal or pulmonary treatment. The composition can provide, in a single administration or dosing regime, the anti-inflammatory properties of the steroid and the anti-inflammatory properties of furosemide, without any significant interference between the two, or adverse reaction in situ. One of the components is microencapsulated so that the components are released into the patient's bloodstream at different times, even when administered simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20180316787
Abstract: A housing for a mobile telephone has a bottom wall, top wall and two side walls and a front surface connected to at least one of the walls. The front surface is formed of a two-way mirrored surface so that the interior of the housing is not visible from the outside but the outside is visible from the interior of the housing. Inside the housing there is a connection to a power supply disposed in the housing, a transformer connected to the power supply, a microphone and a connector for connecting a mobile telephone to the transformer, the connector being positioned so that when the mobile telephone is connected, a camera on the mobile telephone faces the front surface and can record images outside the housing for transmission to a remote site.
