  • Publication number: 20240108847
Abstract: A breathing assistance apparatus and method of controlling a breathing assistance apparatus is disclosed. Particularly, the breathing assistance apparatus is controlled such that it has a drying cycle to enable drying of the tubing that supplies gases to a user and prevent the harbouring of pathogens within the tube. The drying cycle is preferably operated automatically by internal controllers in the apparatus. However, it may be manually activated by pressing a button on the apparatus. The drying cycle is preferably activated at the end of a user's treatment session.

  • Patent number: 11948707
Abstract: A system for providing cable support may be provided. The system may comprise a conductor core, a filler that may provide integral core support, and armor. The conductor core may comprise at least one conductor. The filler may be applied around at least a portion of the conductor core. The armor may be applied around at least a portion of the filler. The applied armor may be configured to cause the filler to apply a strong enough force on an exterior of the conductor core configured to keep the conductor core from slipping down an interior of the filler due to a gravitational force. In addition, the applied armor may be configured to cause the filler to apply a strong enough force on an interior of the armor configured to keep a combination of the conductor core and the filler from slipping down the interior of the armor due to the gravitational force.

  • Patent number: 11667066
Abstract: An apparatus and method for actuating a valve stem between an open position and a closed position and for taking one or more valve gated nozzle out of service is disclosed. The hot runner includes a valve gated nozzle having a valve stem, the valve stem coupled to a piston that is held against an actuation plate via pressurized air. When a valve stem becomes stuck in a gate of the hot runner, the actuation plate can continue to move while the piston remains stationary. The valve stem may also be protected from an over force situation such as if the valve stem encounters an obstruction as the actuation plate is moving toward the closed position.

  • Patent number: 11650265
Abstract: An electric meter includes a meter shell configured to be within an outer utility box. A meter socket and blades are for coupling to openings of the socket. The openings include utility-side and premises-side openings for the blades to extend into. A meter processor is coupled to measurement circuitry, and to a communications unit including a transceiver. A gas sensor is positioned proximate to the blades for sensing ?1 gaseous compound product resulting from an arc discharge across air involving the blades. During operation of the electric meter, responsive sensing a presence of the gaseous compound product, the gas sensor generates an output signal. Responsive to the output signal being above a predetermined threshold level, the electric meter triggers an alert signal that is transmitted to an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) which indicates an identity of the electric meter and that the electric meter had experienced the arc discharge.

  • Patent number: 11055354
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for processing and answering a natural language query at a database server are described. An end user may submit a question in natural language over a communication platform. An answer engine running on the database server may receive the question, and may process the content of the question using natural language processing (NLP) techniques. The answer engine may construct a search query based on the NLP, and may retrieve a set of documents from a database using the search query. The answer engine may rank the documents, prune the number of documents, modify the documents for the given communication platform, or perform any combination of these functions. In some cases, an intermediate user may review the documents, and may select one or more documents for publication. The answer engine may send the selected documents to the end user as answers in response to the question.

  • Patent number: 9984126
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for identifying data items to display in a feed of an enterprise social networking system. A first subset of data items is identified as associated with an inner circle of data sources with which a user interacts at or exceeding a designated frequency, a second subset of data items is identified as associated with an interest graph associated with the user, and a third subset of data items is identified as associated with a group or an organization. A highlights feed can be displayed with different channels, where a first channel is defined by the first subset of data items, a second channel is defined by the second subset of data items, and a third channel is defined by the third subset of data items.
