  • Publication number: 20170118992
Abstract: A rodenticide compound comprising a calcium infused bait targeted for consumption by a specific rodent species. The compound causes rodents to ingest calcium at a lethal rate. Each food product is tailored to the usual diet of the targeted rodent species. The selected food product is infused with calcium, usually in the form of calcium carbonate, such that the calcium accounts for at least twenty percent of the combined weight of the selected food product and calcium compound.

  • Patent number: 5475817
Abstract: An object oriented distributed computing system is provided. Processing means call a location service within automatically generated stubs in response to a request for a service provided by a particular object. The location service is automatically called on behalf of the requester to locate the target object when the request is issued. Multiple Object Managers reflecting multiple Object Models are permitted in the system. Programmers and users do not need to know the Object Model adhered to by an Object Manager. A request to any object in the system is independent of the Object Model of the sought object's Object Manager. A generic interface enables new Object Managers reflecting new Object Models to be easily added to the system. Availability of the target object is independent of association of the target object with a process at the time the request was issued. Deactivation of processes is automatically accomplished in response to the system needing resources.

  • Patent number: 5339435
Abstract: A heterogeneous configuration management tool enables building of a software system in a heterogeneous network of computers. In building a desired software system, the tool enables at least one component of the system to be translated by a foreign computer of the network and other components of the system to be translated by other computers of the network. A reference to a version indicator is passed to the foreign computer to provide the foreign computer an indication of user-specified version of the component being translated by the foreign computer. The reference is expanded during processing on the foreign computer. Pathname transformation files are employed to provide transformation of a pathname in one computer of the network to a corresponding pathname in another computer of a network. Binaries resulting from component translations are stored in split pools. In turn, split releases of the built software system are enabled.

  • Patent number: 4637603
Abstract: A device is set forth for simulating a fish for operation of a rod and reel. The device includes a frame, a drum journalled to the frame with the fishing line attached to the drum. A motor and clutch are provided for applying a selected torque to the drum to tension the line and simulate the pull of a fish. Also provided is a track to support and guide a carriage. Mounted to the carriage is a pulley. The fishing line is reeved about the pulley and thereafter connected to the drum. By adjusting the position of the carriage and pulley the position of the fish is simulated.
