Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for an operator to send Web pages to a customer, without the client having to enter the URLs of the pages to be sent. The operator can present an audio visual Web demonstration as he is speaking to the customer over the telephone. The operator can function as part of a call center that provides a central location for coordinates operators and incoming calls. By using a separate thread or process running on the client computer to control the browser, the flicker associate with redrawing the primary window, the security concerns associated with running a Java program, and the lack of control in using frames are all eliminated.
