    Abstract: For sorting particles of a mixed particulate material in dependence on their coefficients of sliding friction the particles are fed to a revolving endless belt which, from the feed point to the downstream discharge edge, has a length portion having a length which in dependence on the velocity of the revolving belt is so determined that only those particles of the mixed material which have the highest coefficient of sliding friction will be accelerated to the velocity of the belt while moving on the length portion, all particles having a relatively lower coefficient of sliding friction having a lower velocity at the discharge edge so that the particles which have been discharged will fly along different trajectories and are collected by correspondingly disposed devices.

    Abstract: At least two adjacently located wire drawing capstans are provided with an annular drawing ring and a wheel member within the drawing ring and connected to it. At least one has a planet member engaging the wheel member, and an annular sun member secured to a shaft. The planet member is connected to the wheel member of the next adjacent capstan to operatively interconnect the adjacent capstans, and permit the planet member to revolve about said sun member and rotate about the central axis.

    Abstract: A multi-stage wire drawing machine having at least one drum formed with a plurality of sheaves over which the wire is sequentially pulled. The sheaves are disposed about a hollow sleeve in which is rotatably mounted a shaft connected at one end to a drive and at its other end to the farthermost sheave. The sheaves are interconnected by suitable gearing with each other and with the sleeve. The gearing is so adjusted that the peripheral speed of the individual sheaves increases in the direction of the passage of the wire, corresponding to the differential necessary to obtain only the least possible extension of the wire.
