    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein that relate to an enhanced guard period between Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) resources. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises receiving a SRS configuration from a radio access node, wherein the SRS configuration defines SRS resources in compliance with a predefined or preconfigured minimum guard period between adjacent SRS resources in different slots. The method further comprises transmitting SRSs in accordance with the SRS configuration. In this manner, improved SRS guard period specification is provided, which leads to a better trade-off between SRS signal quality and SRS resource utilization.

    Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for transmission of reference signal resources from a terminal device. A method is performed by the terminal device. The terminal device comprises at least two antenna panels and a baseband chain operable to be switched between the at least two antenna panels. The baseband chain is thereby connected to each of the antenna panels one at a time. The method comprises distributing a fixed set of reference signal resources among the at least two antenna panels by selecting which beams are to be used for transmission of the reference signal resources. The reference signal resources are distributed among the at least two antenna panels according to antenna panel selection information. The method comprises transmitting each of the reference signal resources in a respective one of the beams as the baseband chain is connected to each antenna panel used for generating the beams.

The selection is performed so as to minimize a total power consumption, given the estimated power consumptions. The wireless device transmits a beam-formed signal, using the selected number of the plurality of transmitter chains.

    Abstract: Methods performed by a wireless device operating in a dormant mode comprise performing a measurement on each of a plurality of resources from a predetermined set of resources or demodulating and decoding information from each of a plurality of resources from a predetermined set of resources, such as a set of beams. The methods further include evaluating the measurement or the demodulated and decoded information for each of the plurality of resources against a predetermined criterion, and then discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements, or discontinuing the demodulating and decoding and evaluation of information, in response to determining that the predetermined criterion is met, such that one or more resources in the predetermined set of resources are neither measured nor demodulated and decoded. The methods further comprise deactivating receiver circuitry, further in response to determining that the predetermined criterion is met.
