  • Publication number: 20070062906
Abstract: A valved closure for a liquid container is disclosed. The valved closure comprises a closure body having a base and a spout. A generally tubular insert is provided with an upper portion attached to the lower portion of the base. The insert body is sized to fit within a dispensing port of the liquid container and defines an insert passageway in fluid communication with the spout. The insert has at least one flexible flange extending outwardly therefrom for resiliently engaging the inner wall of the container and seal the closure to the container. A valve is retained between the insert and the closure body to operatively open and close the fluid passage through the closure from the container.

  • Publication number: 20050056609
Abstract: A drinking vessel with adjustable handles for a juvenile is disclosed. The drinking vessel features two handles that can be adjusted apart from each other at varying fixed or articulated angles. Furthermore, the two handles can be adjusted without the intervention of a person disassembling the drinking vessel in order to reorient or readjust the handles. The adjustable handles allow the juvenile to manipulate and hold the drinking vessels with greater flexibility.

  • Publication number: 20040099674
Abstract: A feeding device, which is especially adapted for use by infants, toddlers and the like, includes a drinking cup, a lid and a flow control valve. The drinking cup includes a body and an overmolding which partially covers the body to function as a bumper and to provide gripping surfaces for a user. The lid has a spoutless design which allows a user to simulate drinking from a conventional open-mouthed cup and which also maximizes liquid evacuation from the drinking cup. The flow control valve has a polygonally-shaped body with a plurality of corners and a liquid-dispensing nipple which is located in one of the corners so that the flow control valve can be positioned adjacent to a peripheral edge of the lid, thereby promoting the complete evacuation of liquid from the drinking cup. The size, shape and rigidity of the valve body inhibits it from being inserted into the throat of a user or other individual.
