  • Publication number: 20220315820
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a shaped abrasive particle is disclosed. The method includes filling a cavity of a tool with an abrasive particle precursor material. The cavity has at least an interior surface that extends downward from a tool top surface at an angle. The method also includes leveling the abrasive particle precursor material such that a top surface of the abrasive particle precursor materials is flush with the tool surface, such that a sharp portion is formed along the intersection between the sloped wall of the tool cavity and the tool surface and the sharp portion is within the same plane as the tool surface. The method also includes removing a dried abrasive particle precursor from the cavity of the tool. The abrasive particle has a sharp portion formed along the intersection between the interior surface and the tool surface.

  • Publication number: 20220064508
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a shaped abrasive particle. The shaped abrasive particle includes a plurality of polygonal faces bound by respective polygonal perimeters and joined by at least one edge or sidewall to form the shaped abrasive particle. The shaped abrasive particle further includes a serration configured to generate a fracture along a fracture plane extending at least through the serration.

  • Publication number: 20220033699
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed relate to a shaped abrasive particle. The shaped abrasive particle includes a first non-planar continuous surface and a second non-planar continuous surface. The shaped abrasive particle further includes at least one sidewall or edge joining the first non-planar continuous surface and the second non-planar continuous surface. The shaped abrasive particle further includes one or more vertices. The shaped abrasive particle is configured to have a stable resting position on a substantially planar substrate, wherein at least one vertex is oriented in a substantially upward direction relative to the planar substrate.

  • Publication number: 20190181323
Abstract: At least some aspects of the present disclosure direct to a flexible thermoelectric module. The thermoelectric module includes a flexible substrate, a plurality of p-type thermoelectric elements and a plurality of n-type thermoelectric elements, a first set of connectors, and a second set of connectors. The substrate includes a plurality of vias filled with an electrically conductive material or thermoelectric elements. In some cases, the plurality of p-type thermoelectric elements and the plurality of n-type thermoelectric elements are disposed on the flexible substrate.
