The device comprises a plate keyed to the driven shaft, one side of which is provided with a plurality of movement elements spread over a given circumference, and a drum whose axis is perpendicular to the axis of the plate, keyed to the drive shaft and provided peripherally with a plurality of tracks.The tracks engage the movement elements, during the rotation of the drum, alternately, in pairs, on the opposite sides of one and the same movement element and, individually, on subsequent pairs of movement elements.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus comprising at least one transportation line that connects the exit point of a first machine with the entry point of a second machine, and the exit point of the second machine with the entry point of the first machine, the drive being provided by the said machines either directly or through means connected thereto.The transportation line is so constructed that if the first machine should slow down or come temporarily to a halt, a gradual decrease occurs in the length of the section that runs, filled with products, from the first to the second machine and, contemporaneously, the length of the section of the said line that runs, devoid of products, from the second to the first machine, increases.

Abstract: A device for feeding a continuous web, for cutting it into pieces and having automatic reel change for changing the reels from which the web is unwound is described. This device includes a cyclic cutting device positioned at the confluence of two tracks, along which two continuous webs are unwound from corresponding reels are fed, and controls for controlling the generation of a signal when an associated reel is exhausted; along each of the tracks there are provided a mechanism for feeding the webs from the reels to the cutting device, and such feeding mechanism include, for each track, a pair of feed rollers for feeding the associated web to the cutting device.

Abstract: A device for forming groups of cigarettes in a cigarette packaging machine, in which an outlet hopper of a cigarette feed apparatus comprises a plurality of adjacent outlet mouths each arranged to deliver successive layers of cigarettes. Pusher means disposed below each outlet mouth insert said layers in superposed relationship into containers uniformly distributed along a conveyor which is mobile stepwise in proximity to the base of the hopper. Each pusher means is operable independently of the others, and can be deactivated on sensing determined irregular situations in the containers or during the starting or stopping stages of the packaging machine.

Abstract: A device for transferring and verifying batches of cigarettes, placed transversely with respect to the direction in which they move forward and in superposed layers. Miniaturized reflection photocells in a number identical to the number of layers composing the cigarette batches are provided for checking cigarette ends. As each batch passes, each of the elements emits a signal in response to the performed check. These signals, converted into logical form by a first circuit block, pass into a second circuit block which, synchronized with cyclic signals indicative of the checking elements examining the central areas of the ends of the cigarettes, constitutes means for operating an ejector device.
Abstract: An apparatus for feeding and wrapping products comprising a wrapping machine, which machine has a driving element, and a device for feeding products to the wrapping machine. The feeding device includes a first conveyor for receiving products from a dispensing apparatus, which conveyor continuously moves at either a high or a low speed, and a second conveyor which connects the first conveyor to the wrapping machine and which continuously moves at one speed in the same direction as the first conveyor. A stop element is located at the end of the second conveyor adjacent the wrapping machine. There are provided first and second controls positioned along the second conveyor at selected spacings from the wrapping machine, with each control sensing the presence or absence of products on the second conveyor. A first drive is connected to the first conveyor and is adapted to operate the first conveyor at either the high or the low speed.
