  • Patent number: 11046553
Abstract: An elevator automatic rescue and energy-saving control method, the method comprising: when the power grid supplies power normally, selecting a single current in a three-phase power grid (9) as an AC power supply for an elevator control system (10); controlling a DC-DC converter (2) to charge the super capacitor module (1) connected to the DC-DC converter to a specified standby electric energy level; and when the power grid is suddenly interrupted, selecting to use the electric energy stored in the super capacitor module (1) as a rescue electric energy for a traction motor (7) and the elevator control system (10). The described method uses a super capacitor module, so that a stable and reliable elevator rescue power supply is provided when the power grid is suddenly interrupted, and the regenerative electric energy dissipated during elevator braking operation is stored and utilized during elevator operation, thereby conserving energy.

  • Publication number: 20100213886
Abstract: The present invention relates to an energy-saving system for three-phase induction motors and is based on the principle of variable voltage control at constant speed. It is composed of a microprocessor, exampling circuit, sensing circuit, acquiring circuit, firing circuit, and AC to AC converter. The system is to automatically adjust the voltage to the induction motor with the variation in the motor load, in order to obtain high operating power factor and efficiency. The system will result in considerable energy-savings when a three-phase induction motor runs under constant light-load or variable-load with low duty ratio.

  • Patent number: 7781987
Abstract: A system for automatically controlling power supply to a lamp (101) of a vehicle, the system comprising: a detection module (20) to detect whether the vehicle is stationary or non-stationary; a controller (102) to receive a signal (25) having a first value transmitted by the detection module (20) when the vehicle is detected as stationary, and the controller (102) to receive a signal (25) having a second value transmitted by the detection module (20) when the vehicle is detected as non-stationary, wherein if the signal (20) having the first value is received by the controller (102), the controller (102) reduces the power supply to the lamp (101) from a first power level to a lower second power level in order to reduce energy consumption of the lamp (101), and if the signal (25) having the second value is received by the controller (102), the controller (102) restores the power supply to the lamp (101) from the lower second power level to the first power level.

  • Publication number: 20090251076
Abstract: The present invention relates to temperature compensation of HID lamps in automobiles. The invention concerns the manner in which the temperature of the HID lamp is accounted for in order to drive the lamp is at appropriate power from hot to cold conditions. In the present invention, the voltage across a capacitor in the temperature compensation circuit is sensed and used as a command signal to anticipate lamp temperature, and accordingly the reference power to the HID lamp is modulated depending on the temperature of the lamp. In the present invention, the lamp is driven with a higher power setting when the lamp is cold and with lower power setting when hot. This adaptive generation of reference power setting depending on the temperature of the lamp is implemented using the voltage across a capacitor in the temperature compensation circuit.

  • Publication number: 20080315684
Abstract: The present invention relates a dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) system and methods for addressing voltage dips. The instant DVR incorporates high frequency technology, such as a high frequency transformer, to generate a square wave voltage from a storage device, such square wave being modulated prior to being delivered to a load. The generation of the square wave and modulation thereto creates a voltage that reacts fast to voltage dips, while addressing wide ranging harmonics usually present in square waves.
