  • Patent number: 12165852
Abstract: A plasma doping system including a plasma doping chamber, a platen mounted in the plasma doping chamber for supporting a workpiece, a source of ionizable gas coupled to the chamber, the ionizable gas containing a desired dopant for implantation into the workpiece, a plasma source for producing a plasma having a plasma sheath in a vicinity of the workpiece, the plasma containing positive ions of the ionizable gas, and accelerating said positive ions across the plasma sheath toward the platen for implantation into the workpiece, a shield ring surrounding the platen and adapted to extend the plasma sheath beyond an edge of the workpiece, and a cover ring disposed on top of the shield ring and adapted to mitigate sputtering of the shield ring, wherein the cover ring comprises a crystalline base layer and a non-crystalline top layer.

  • Publication number: 20240354693
Abstract: An electronically activated mailer capable of containing one or more articles to be shipped and having an activation code on the mailer or a receipt for it. The purchaser or user of the mailer scans the activation code, such as a QR code, using a digital camera on a mobile phone and, upon receiving the scan, the mobile phone is linked to a web application. The validity of the activation code is verified, possibly using a verification code on the mailer. Upon verifying the activation code, the mailer is activated to receive via the web application destination and return addresses and pick-up information for the mailer. The pick-up information payment are provided to a carrier for delivery of the mailer. Purchase of the mailer can also possibly be used to access shipping services via the web application.

  • Patent number: 12103468
Abstract: A badge assembly comprises a badge, a cushion and a cable. The badge has a front surface and a rear surface, a cable mounting point located on the rear surface and at least one alignment prong extending from the rear surface. The cushion includes padding and a substrate, a cable routing hole extending through at least the padding, the badge being seated in the padding over cable routing hole and the at least one alignment prong extending into the padding adjacent the cable routing hole. The cable extends through the cable routing hole and has a first end connected the cable mounting hoop in the cable mounting hole and a second end fastened to the substrate, a tension of the cable holding the badge at a recessed depth within the padding. The cable has a predetermined length to set the desired depth.

  • Patent number: 12065232
Abstract: A watersports boat is equipped with a trimmable drive used to generate a virtual ballast effect. Turbulence experienced by a wake rider on startup is reduced by automatically varying the drive orientation as the watersports boat comes up to speed. A pair of water channelers are located at the stern. One of the water channelers is deployed below the running surface to redirect water across centerline and improve wake shape on the selected side.

  • Publication number: 20240271859
Abstract: A refrigerator includes a wrapper having an opening with a front edge. A liner includes an opening and a front edge. A thermal bridge interconnects the wrapper and the liner to form a vacuum insulated cavity therebetween. The thermal bridge includes an outwardly opening channel and first and second inwardly opening channels. The front edge of wrapper is received in the first inwardly opening channel, and the front edge of the liner is received in the second inwardly opening channel. The second inwardly opening channel is inset relative to the first inwardly opening channel on the thermal bridge. A conduit is disposed within the outwardly opening channel and is configured to circulate a heated medium. The wrapper and liner are contemplated to be comprised of conductive materials, such sheet metal, while the thermal bridge is comprised of a thermally resistant material, such as a polymeric material.

  • Patent number: 4147892
Abstract: In this speakerphone the peak value of the microphone output must be above the (variable threshold) average value to cause switching to transmit mode, thus providing dynamic compensation for ambient noise. In addition, a feedback path rapidly reduces the average value threshold if ambient noise such as a fan suddenly stops to cause the average value to be momentarily larger than the peak.
