  • Patent number: 10971295
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to ensuring contact between core halves of a current transformer. For example, a current transformer (CT) may include a split core comprising a first core half having a first plurality of faces and a second core half having a second plurality of faces. Each face of the first core half may contact a corresponding face of the second core half to allow magnetic flux to flow through the split core to induce current on windings of the CT. The CT may include a first housing that houses the first core half and a second housing that the second core half. The CT may include a biasing element that biases the second core half towards the first core half to ensure that each face of the second core half contacts the corresponding face of the first core half.

  • Publication number: 20210028577
Abstract: A spacer and tether device for adapting a multiconductor plug includes a spacer configured to position a plug having multiple conductors at a predetermined distance from a jack having fewer conductors so that one or more conductors of the plug are not inserted into the jack, allowing the remaining conductors of the plug to properly align with the conductors in the jack. A tether attaches at one end to the spacer and at an opposite end to the housing of the plug so that the spacer is secured to the plug for use when required.

  • Patent number: 10750253
Abstract: An apparatus and method for remotely monitoring water usage in real time utilizes a sensor attached to a water meter. The sensor monitors water flowing through the meter by analyzing the water meter's magnetic coupling and processes the data to correlate it to real time flow rates. Data is transmitted through a base unit to remote storage and consumers may access the data with application software installed on electronics such as smartphones and tablets. Four components are combined to allow the real time monitoring of water utilization.

  • Publication number: 20200212296
Abstract: Aspects of the present technology are directed toward Integrated Circuits (IC) including a plurality of trenches disposed in a substrate about a set of silicide regions. The trenches can extend down into the substrate below the set of silicide regions. The silicide regions can be formed by implanting metal ions into portions of a substrate exposed by a mask layer with narrow pitch openings. The trenches can be formed by selectively etching the substrate utilizing the set of silicide regions as a trench mask. An semiconductor material with various degree of crystallinity can be grown from the silicide regions, in openings that extend through subsequently formed layers down to the silicide regions.

  • Patent number: 10551415
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods of locking a faulted circuit indicator (FCI). For example, the FCI may include a locking assembly. The locking assembly may include a lock plate that selectively moves between a locked position and an unlocked position. When in the locked position, the lock plate blocks a lock link of the FCI from moving in a first direction to prevent the FCI from opening. When in an unlocked position, the lock plate enables the lock link of the FCI to move in the first direction to allow the FCI to open.

  • Publication number: 20200035376
Abstract: Elastomer compositions with high dielectric constants are disclosed. Embodiments of the disclosure include a high dielectric constant (high-K) elastomeric composition comprising an elastomer, carbon black (CB), and organoclay (OC). The composition is not dependent on any raw material with inherent high-k or any metal oxide type material that changes conductivity with applied voltages. The composition instead uses distributed electric fields and polarizability with carbon black and organoclays. This allows for a high-k material through polarizability with limited large-scale electron sharing.

  • Publication number: 20190203611
Abstract: A combustor assembly for a gas turbine engine includes a dome defining a slot. The combustor assembly also includes a liner at least partially defining a combustion chamber and extending between an aft end and a forward end. At least a portion of the forward end is received within the slot of the dome. The forward end of the liner defines a plurality of warming holes that allow for a warming airflow to flow therethrough to warm the forward end at a faster rate during transient operating conditions of the engine thereby reducing transient stresses and increasing liner durability.
