Publication number: 20190175148Abstract: The invention describes a novel implementation of ultrasound or OCT technology to approximate the dimensions of fluid-filled structures (when using ultrasound technology) or other structures (when using OCT technology). The invention in a preferred embodiment is an elongated member such as a catheter that uses ultrasound or OCT technology to approximate the dimensions of a structure into which the catheter has been placed. In a preferred embodiment, the catheter includes multiple ultrasound transducers arranged in an annular or circumferential configuration on, embedded into or within the body of the elongated member so that distance measurements can be obtained between the elongated member and the wall of the immediately facing structure (e.g., a fluid-filled lumen). Utilizing these measurements, the present invention approximates for the physician the shape and size of the structure into which the elongated member is placed.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2019Publication date: June 13, 2019Applicant: Provisio Medical, Inc.Inventor: Stephen Eric Ryan

Publication number: 20170323700Abstract: Elastomer compositions with high dielectric constants are disclosed. Embodiments of the disclosure include a high dielectric constant (high-K) elastomeric composition comprising an elastomer, carbon black (CB), and organoclay (OC). The composition is not dependent on any raw material with inherent high-k or any metal oxide type material that changes conductivity with applied voltages. The composition instead uses distributed electric fields and polarizability with carbon black and organoclays. This allows for a high-k material through polarizability with limited large-scale electron sharing.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 25, 2017Publication date: November 9, 2017Applicant: COOPER TECHNOLOGIES COMPANYInventors: DAVID ERIC RYAN, EVANGELOS MANIAS, BO LI

Patent number: 9776847Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring safety of work vehicles and worksites. Work vehicles and worksites may be provided with target object sensor units for detecting a condition regarding safety determinative aspects of the work vehicle or worksite. The target object sensor units communicate data regarding the safety determinative aspects to a data acquisition and communication unit that produces safety status data. The safety status data is analyzed to determine whether to issue a notification to a notification unit to alert workers of an unsafe condition. The data acquisition and communication unit transmits the safety status data to a server/processing unit for further analysis. The server/processing unit may track the safety status data regarding each worksite or work vehicle and generate statistical data regarding the safety status data. Publication number: 20170150361Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure can provide for secure communication in a vehicle network by distinguishing among communications at different layers of the vehicle network and using different security levels depending on the network layer. For example, a communication between different electronic control units (ECUs) in the same domain (e.g., two ECUs in the powertrain domain) may not need as much as security as a communication that originates from an ECU in a different domain (e.g., the chassis domain) or from a device outside the vehicle. This can allow for increased security where compromise is a greater possibility, such as when communications originate from outside the vehicle, and decreased security where comprise is a lesser possibility and performance is a greater concern, such as communications between ECUs within the vehicle and/or in the same domain.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2016Publication date: May 25, 2017Inventors: Anil PARYANI, Daniel L.
